I thought that there were no two-year contracts anymore with T-Mobile? And that’s one of the big reasons why I’m going for the iPhone 5 on T-Mobile in addition to the unlimited data and new LTE network. I like to watch live TV on my phone during the commute to and from work at DISH, since it takes some time to arrive. My app of choice to do this is that DISH Anywhere app, which lets me stream my shows wherever I go, and it would be nice to use the iPhone 5 as much as I want without worrying about how much data I have left.

John.GTR, 10 Apr 2013That is stupid $99.99 plus paying 20 dollar a month for 24 ... moreT-Mobile is offering Iphone with no contract, on it's $70 Unlimited Talk+Text+4G Web, if you add $20 payment on to that it's still comes out $90 a month which is roughly what VZW, AT&T and Sprint charge for their unlimited everything plans anyway. so my dear friend you might think you only paid $200 for your Iphone 5 but you definitely pay full price for it.

T-Mobile $50 Rate Plan has NO ANNUAL CONTRACT. You save more with their Rate Plan even you purchase the device at full price.. You have the option to pay the phone via "installment" so that you can easily manage your budget.. $50 for Unlimited Talk and Text plus Web with $20 installment equals to $70.. That's not bad for me..

yan, 10 Apr 2013first off, the cheapest iphone on any other carrier is $649... moreThere's 2yr contract for iphones on t-mobile.
T-Mobile USA announced today the pricing and availability of the iPhone 5 for their network. The carrier has kept its uncharacteristic promise to give Apple's latest and greatest with $0 upfront to its loyal iPhone users.
The trade-in offer allows the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S owners to return their old phone and get the new iPhone 5 on a two-year contract without the $99.99 upfront payment. They'll still need to pay the $20 for the phone every month in addition to their $50 (or more) plan tax.
Depending on the condition of the iPhone you are returning you'll get up to a $120 credit, which you can use towards the monthly payments.
T-Mobile USA will launch the iPhone 5 on April 12. It will cost $99.99 upfront (if you are not using the trade-in program) and $20/month in addition to the $50 monthly for the mandatory two-year contract.

John.GTR, 10 Apr 2013That is stupid $99.99 plus paying 20 dollar a month for 24 ... morefirst off, the cheapest iphone on any other carrier is $649, on Tmobile is $579.99, $70 cheaper.
2nd, to get it at $199 on att is thru a 2 year contract, and if you cancel before that, you have to pay a early termination fee of $375 per line. Nice.
3rd, tmobile's options is no contract. you pay the $99.99 up front, and pay $20 each month until you pay off your phone, and then your bill will go down $20 since you already paid off the phone... something that does NOT happen with any other carrier. You basically get ripped off each month paying "subsidy" for a phone you already paid off.
and 4th, if you do decide to cancel tmobile's service, you dont have to pay any Termination fees, you just pay whatever remains of the phone.
I dont understand how you find this "stupid". I think its actually a great deal.
oh, and the iphone you buy from tmobile, is GSM unlocked, which you can use with either Tmobile or ATT, or worldwide

In the UK you can sell iphone 4s 16GB for £270+ which is more than $350.... You can even trade in with the network for £220-250 thats roughly $300. The Plan tax is crazy on top of the phone payments also.

That is stupid $99.99 plus paying 20 dollar a month for 24 month plus a data plan over fifty dollars, That mean at the end of 2yrs the Iphone cost 579.99 plus tax through out the two yrs. total cost with sirvice is $ 1,200.00 plus tax, just to have the Iphone on T-mobile. What a Ripped off in that case just buy the Iphone without a contract still better choice to go. At least you are not lock down on a contract. At AT&T sign up two yrs get the Iphone for 199.00 plus tax that it.

Psycho_Gen, 10 Apr 2013Desperate attempt by apple..Or is your comment a desperate attempt at an insult?
Tmobile has been interested in this for years. They even started selling micro-sims even though none of their phones used it. They can only now offer it because they refarmed their network to LTE and a different 3G band.
