Samsung posts solid smartphone sales in Q1, but overall profits plummet

          LoneOwl, 28 Apr 2023Sony flagships that offer MicroSD(and 3.5mm jack)sell a lot... moreSony does next to no advertising when it comes their Xperia phones, most people either don't even know about them, or they know nothing about them, apart from their existence, which is not enough to sell them obviusly.

          Another issue is that if you go to a store, most workers will insantly recommend iPhones, or if you want android then Samsung, they don't even mention anything else and most people will just trust these workers. Now why do they instantly recommend Samsung phones? It's mostly a mix of two things, they have the most profit on Samsung phones, but also because people are familiar with the brand, so it's the easiest to sell, they don't have to explain why it's the best, most will just believe it when they say it.

            95% drop of profit is honestly not what I would call "solid smartphone sales".

                    Samsung is a huge company. So not a big deal. Will buy again. Great software and long support. Nobody does it better.
