Hamburger, 28 Apr 2023IMO, the 695 is a problem becos' of the short support ... more695 is less power hungry than 778, by a lot. A rugged phone does not need extreme performance. It needs a good battery life and 695 does the job.

HMD claims to support until 2026 (3 yrs) plus 1 more year of security, you might only get one update per year or per 2 years, maybe none until 2026, then 1 security patch.
Even the older 778 chip is a better option than 695, the current 7g2 might be too expensive.

Yeah, that only happens on low quality OLED panels, or very old phones, like a Samsung Galaxy S8, ZTE Axon 7.
I have both of these phones and they both have serious screen burn-in, but none of my newer phones that have oled displays have burn-in, not even after almost 3 years of usage.
Interestingly my Asus Zenfone AR is so far uneffected by any burn-in, despite having an OLED display and being 6 years old.

695 instead of a 777/7g2
Xcover 6 pro sounds like a better option
Or the Gigaset GX6, it's even better in case of camera

SD 695 in a phone that's meant to last long. How funny. Nokia with their underpowered phones at super high prices

So basically, it's an X30 with a slightly larger screen, a bigger battery, a headphone jack, microSD card support, and IP68/MIL-STD-810G rating. HMD Nokia better gets the pricing right and sell this phone globally since I'm already tempted to buy it. Samsung made a huge mistake with the XCover6 Pro by limiting its availability to SME customers only.

235g and it's mostly cause of the rubber case that seems to weight like 50g when most of the phones are at around 180g
But well this be like 700 euro or something like that as thats HMD for you

DarlingYext, 28 Apr 2023Why launch it with Android 12 in almost mid 2023 if you are... moreOfficially, they will say it is because the phone has been in development for a while. However, I wonder how it is related to HMD's 10-year licensing of the Nokia brand for phones and tablets being up for renewal or cancellation in 2026, and the projected development cycles for Android OS updates?
