how much ever they try to come with good score and with GPU, SPEED etc
they can't defeat snapdragon with just numbers.
snapdragon is best for long run... while dimensity can't fight on long run (*_*)

you have to suffer, 30 Apr 2023they have a mind like this when they got a welcome device, ... moreWhen I went to university I got (not by choice) a Pentium D PC in a cheap micro-ATX case. I called it "Fire Hazard" and hardly used it. So I almost ended up as an AMD fanboy before Core changed everything.
But yeah it'll be interesting to see what real-world performance is on this 9200+ and if it's actually better than at least Exynos. If it's truly top class I can definitely see another ROG Phone 7 with it.

Don't forget about the fact that there are still many Android apps that still doesn't getting optimized for wider screen, so in most cases it will just show a widened version of the one that you got on your phone.
Let's just be real. I hope Google can makes it easier for developer to fix this problem ASAP. Running Windows on a Celeron processor is such a pain though. But at least in Windows I can get a real desktop version of Microsoft Office or Discord.

I find it funny that we currently live in a time where smartphone SoCs can go head-to-head with x86 CPUs, yet very few people truly maximize every drop of the SoC performance. With such crazy firepower, why would anyone buy a cheap budget or midrange Windows or Chromebook laptop? If more smartphone OEMs focus on giving USB3 with wired video output and Android Desktop Mode, it can easily be the only computer most people ever need.

Just to prove how ridiculous geekbench 6 is: 8-core M1 Pro scores as high as 28-core Xeon inside the highest specced Mac Pro. (https://browser.geekbench.com/mac-benchmarks/) In Geekbench 5 it needed the 20 core M1 Ultra to score the same as the Xeon --> GB6 is optimized to run on Apple silicon and unoptimized for everything else. For GPUs it's even worse with RTX 2060 "outperforming" RTX 3080

you have to suffer, 30 Apr 2023this reminds me of mediatek sport mode where they cheat on ... moreJust task scheduling...
Everybody does task scheduling...it's the way modern CPU and systems work.
The article on Anandtech was nothing else than troll! Lack of investigations...the reviewer didn't even install any CPU monitoring app to see if there's any overclocking!
It's a fact there's no overclocking at all.
The exemple of PCMark in the article is Amazing : if you analyse properly what it happens, you clearly see without task scheduling, Big cores aren't used...
I did the test on Helio G90T (it's really easy to do : you clone the benchmark app, the cloned one does use the specific task scheduling), during all the test on cloned app, only Cortex A55 are involved.
PCMark simulates webbrowsing in a subtest...only A55 are involved!
You run your regular browser (for exemple Chrome), it will use cortex A76 without any problem.
Maybe this journalist get invitation to Qualcomm's conference in Hawaii?

AnonD-731363, 29 Apr 2023Funny it goes close to Apple.
Apple was, it is and always... moreIn fact Apple is probably behind...
Look carefully, Geekbench 6 tests with Arm V8 instructions on both iOS and Android...Apple Silicons are Arm V8, but since 9000 and 8 Gen 1, both Qualcomm and Mediatek use Arm v9 on their flagship
If you look at Geekbench's tests, many subtests are AI or image transformations (we can ask us why testing CPU with that kind of tasks as, all soc have dedicated NPU and ISP)...nevertheless, v9 instructions improve this.
It's a fact Geekbench 6 is designed to remove the advantage of Android's Arm v9 soc...
If Geekbench 6 trolled Android, we can ask us some questions about Geekbench 5...

Kinda funny it outperforms the Sd8g2 even with fewer performance cores, I wonder whether the efficiency will be up there?

The problem with Mediatek's phones are their GPS, or lack thereof. While the performance is great, you'll need MobileUncle MTK tools to download EPO files, but the host servers with EPO files are long gone.
So essentially you'll be stuck with phones without any GPS functionality, and apps that depend on location services (almost all these days?) will suffer.
MT6589 had this issue, and nothing has changed over the years. Unfortunate. Good luck finding offline EPO files though, and when you do, the satellite lock times only reduce to 20 minutes or so, instead of the "never" default.
Sad state of affairs.

Intel and Qualcomm have released some fantastic products that are often better than their competitors' products, but not always. Its important to evaluate each product on its own merits instead of by the name it's sold under.
