The tech is still far from going into production, though.

Still, if you wish to get better resale value few years down the line, better go with SS VA.

Anonymous, 13 May 2023160 Hz panel? Man, that sounds really good! Great to see ye... moreTrue. I'm fed up with 4K60 screens being marketed as "gaming" monitors.
And some have hopped on to 75Hz bandwagon as late as 2020, when even 120hz monitors are obsolete, simply wow....

NeonHD, 14 May 2023Hmm it doesn't seem too impressive. I feel like there ... moreYes, but then we compromise on true, black to black refresh rate (there's a term for it), which is essential for gaming...
Do you want your blacks to float around in a game? I certainly don't.

Only SS VA panels are ok for hardcore gaming, they're in some discontinued Samsungs, and there's one from Gigabyte, M32UC or so.
        Only VA is no good.

alucardnos, 14 May 2023everyone focuses too much on the Hz of the screens.... If ... moreAgain, if you have $850+ for a monitor, I'm sure you have more than that in mind for GPU.

Plus, look at me, I got a GTX 1060 laptop, not exactly cutting edge for 4K gaming, but I want to use it in 2 ways:-
          1. Want to use it for 160Hz gaming in 1080p,
          2. Want to watch 4K60 videos on it,

Plus the presence of HDMI 2.1 means it will do great for resale value too, considering console gamers. Right now, I have only a 15.6 inch laptop screen that does 60Hz on 1080p, so its useless for both my needs, this monitor is perfect.

Hmm it doesn't seem too impressive. I feel like there are VA panels with better contrast (and thus deeper blacks) than this one.

everyone focuses too much on the Hz of the screens....
If you don't have graphics card good enough to run 160fps on 4k resolution, this monitor is useless....
If your computer only runs games up to 80-100fps in 4k, then any 120hz monitor would be more than enough.
People are always blinded by the specs and the don't focus on the important things

                "4K (3840 x 2560px)"
lmao. 4K is 2160p just FYI

How much is this in the Philippines?

That's pretty cheap for the specs.

160 Hz panel? Man, that sounds really good! Great to see yet another non-60 Hz gaming monitor.

It seems pretty cool to me but how much better are blacks compared to IPS and TN? Are they any close to OLEDS we have in smartphones? Never got the chance to see it myself.
