Well, based on the renders, It seems I might have to wait for the Xperia 1 mark.6...

In daily use, I love the Xperia IV, and while the gap between 16mm equiv lens and 24 equiv lens makes sense, the gap between 24mm equiv and the 85-125mm equiv zoom lens is a bit too big.

Sony either needs a fourth lens (like a 50mm equiv that either is a normal or macro lens) or a new zoom lens like a 24-35mm equiv or even better, a 24-50mm.

      I can accept a 1.5x digital zoom between 16mm and 24mm... but a 1.5x digital zoom from a 24mm lens is 36mm and that falls short of 85mm by a lot... a 50mm 1.5x digital zoom is 75mm, and that's more acceptable.

Need Sony phones back in India, Samsung is still good but other Chinese brands are ruining this market and consumer perspective.

Sulejman , 05 May 2023Sony Xperia is the king of world Agree. PRO-I is the best (beast) device I ever use. No holes, shutter button, no curved 4K OLED 120Hz screen, lens on the center to better cropping video, big metal frame, and hole for strap. Software is amazing and easy to use. Sensor with antidistorsion shutter (low rolling shutter), and Zeiss lens without chroma aberration. U can shot nice video (in minutes) for social media/advertising from hand without any gimbal:

And you overclocked the 888? It's an inferno as it is? And that "4mm titanium back cover" isn't very thermally conductive, being titanium.

77, 07 May 2023Great post+1 How long did that take too write along with info?I can't tell if ur serious or not lol. It's just a 5-minute response along with some pictures and video links.

The same stale and boring design for years, exactly what Apple is doing. It's a miracle that Sony still produces phones. I thought they finally changed it a bit but same s.hit. Hilarious !

"Holy crap you're the one suffering from brain rot 🤓"

Cope harder. If you think that it looks nothing like their OmniBalance design, you're a lying gook.

                                    Look at this.

Then look at the Xperia 1 series:

                                    https://www.cellspare.com/image/cache/catalog/data/sonyericsson/Housing/Door/sony-xperia-1-II-rear-housing-panel-battery-door-module-purple-550x550.jpg

If you are saying they didn't use their Omnibalance design and copied completely Apple because they places the cameras in a similar way, then you are the one that's delusional.

                                    https://rukminim1.flixcart.com/image/416/416/jlgwmfk0/mobile-panel/b/v/h/ac55blackack-ace-king-original-imaf86ywh2pqx4gh.jpeg?q=70

This is the iPhone X. Sure they have similarities, but they had a design similar to the Z3 without the extra cameras.

"Speaking of LG and copying stuff. I find it funny that LG mobile finally died after they started copying Apple. But back on the subject, no. Don't put words into my mouth then argue against those words because it's easier than proving objective statements incorrect."

Lmao, what "objective" statement are you referring to? That Sony "copied" Apple? They didn't, they borrowed from their previous design.

So answer this: Did people copy HTC and LG by using multiple cameras since they did it first I guess?

"Refer to the first statement, "Half these design elements you can't even make happen with 1 camera, so your comment that "It looks more like their OmniBalance design to me" is completely and utterly delusional.""

Your first statement is trash. What did Sony "copy" that couldn't be done with 1 camera? They had a similar shape, camera placement in the top corner, and similar structure. They got different aspect ratios, different-sized bezels, and different numbers of cameras.

"Brain rot gotten so bad that you've forgotten to read or are incapable of reading my several replies from earlier mentioning the way the cameras look? Do you think I'm suddenly referring to the front of the phone when the cameras are pretty much the only thing I've mentioned?"

"Brain rot gotten so bad that you've forgotten to read or are incapable of reading my several replies from earlier mentioning the way the cameras look🤓"

Seems like your brain rot prevents you from remembering what you typed initially.

"Ok have fun with the design copied from Apple 👍"

Design doesn't just refer to the back.

"Maybe slightly due to the Xperia XZ but they clearly hopped on what Apple was doing with these recent phones. This is way too much like the X."

What did they hop on exactly?

"The camera lens placement is only different because they physically can't put 3 lenses in the same placement as 2. The only difference in the camera bezels is the slight angle on them."

Here you start talking about camera placement, but I was responding with the entire design. Last time I checked, the design doesn't just refer to cameras.

After I responded that it looks like their Omnibalance design (which it does, you're a clown if you say that it doesn't), you said this:

"Nonsense. They never even used more than 1 camera before the X."

The number of cameras is not the only thing when it comes to a phone's design gook.

"So stuck up that you can't even say the word "copy" eh? Gotta use "borrow" eh?

Stuck up? Do you want me to say "copy"? Ok then, everyone copies from others. Do you think phone manufacturers don't copy/borrow from each other? Chinese phones were notorious for doing this in the past. I guess Motorola copied other companies by adding more cameras to the back.

Please get medical assistance for your head.

"And you legitimately believe just because other people copy crap it makes it ok?"

When did I say this? "Don't put words in my mouth" as you said.

"If everyone started murdering people would it suddenly make it ok?"

Now you want to go to extremes lol, what goober mentality.

"Wrong again. 💀 There were 7 phones released in 2013 capable of 4K recording. The manufacturers who made those were Samsung, Nokia, Vivo, Acer and ZTE. Sony didn't even make one until April of the next year. "

This was my mistake, Sony was the first with 4K HDR video recording. Acer was the first with 4K video recording. I will admit I was wrong here.

"But it's ok, I'm not delusional like you and won't claim Sony copied those first few phones. "
How am I delusional when I just admitted that I was wrong? I don't have a problem admitting that, but you clearly do.

"It's never copying when you're simply making objective improvements."

So adding more cameras are objective improvement as well no? Then Sony didn't copy Apple and just made "objective" improvements by adding more cameras and borrowing from their OmniBalance design.

"Source? Actually tested a ZTE phone? Or have a link that proves it?"

ZTE lmao. That company is basically gone. Speaking of ZTE, by your logic, The Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ is copying the OG Sony Xperia 1.

He's made a whole video showing other phones dropping frames for longer recording times, something Sony doesn't do.

YUKI93, 03 May 2023I can totally vouch for this. Just last Monday, Juan Bagnel... moreSomewhat valid point. I brought up ZTE but we'll roll with it. I mean it's one thing if the phone kept any 60 fps footage from the start of the recording, but for it to drop the initial footage down to 45 is quite odd. Is it the same with the 13 Ultra?
