Here's the universal truth : Google search gets the job done with no BS miles ahead of the nearest competitor, not to forget an array of its excellent services like google maps and of course android OS.

      Unfair? Try competitive.

        Its cold war man!!
If they care about consumers so much, the should propably make improvements in their own products & services...stop blaming google..!

I think if Google comes up with its own gaming console and desktop OS.. better than MS..
MS might declare a NUCLEAR attack on google!!!..:D

Who actually cares about other search engines? It's not like they offer anything more.

You don't "Bing it" you "google it"

            Unless your an utter nob.

This is other companies hoping to get thrown a bone, having the choice is simply annoying, if i wanted the choice i'd make it myself.

Now that's some ground for legal battle which is outrightly rediculous in my opinion. I search google because i like the results that pop up. I like how appropriate they are. I use Android because i like to be connected with this ecosystem at any time of day. I trust google for keeping and using my browsing history for my own benefit of providing relevant search results.if i am using bing, i miss google. If i am using windows phone, i miss Android.I have never felt the need for any other ecosystem when i am so deeply aligned with automagical ecosystem of google.

So what i google puts thier services first? Its what we want and gets the job done, wht cant Nokia ans Apple admit defeat and we move on?
I mean if google is the parent and its services and sites the kids, as a parent would you not put your kids first?
Its like buying a audi and toyota wanting to force thier engine cuz the eintire car is audi branded, even auto manufacturers make and force you ti use approved dealers, why are aftermarket manufacturers sueing?

It's complicate but it is true. Google "manipulate" the search in their own interest and not in customer interest. You can verify that using 3 or 4 search engine like bing, yahoo etc. other than google and compare the result of searches. You'll find cvasisimilar return of searches for those search engines and something distinct as return from google searcj. Is this only from "quality" of searches algorithm?

When I buy a computer I want to be able to choose what operatingsystem to install, so it is unfair to Ubuntu... when the laptop cames with Windows 8 preinstalled!

What utter rubbish. So if Fair Search have their way then NO company should be able to create an ecosystem. Imagine switching on your device for the first time and being forced to go through a 100 splash screens to decide which provider you want to use for each service (eg Windows 7 Browser selection screen).

Customers have the choice to choose which provider they wish to use if they don't like the default options. iOS and Windows Phone are perhaps the most restrictive in this regard.

Make better more compelling products that people WANT to use and you won't have to take Google to court to make a dent in their 98% share of the search engine market.

                                    JEALOUSY ALERT!

Regardless of what you think of Google, they have the best search engine hands down. And why shouldn't Google let its Android users direct access to that? Microsoft does that with Bing and windows phone. The whole thing just skints of jealousy, that they can't compete with Google.
