It's not just the search engine, it's about the practice of installing their apps as defaults in the os hence killing the market. Now I personally don't mind it as most of their apps are top notch but one has to also feel for the likes of Microsoft. Did you forget the whole US vs Microsoft fiasco and how the EU forced ms to ship win 7 without internet explorer? My point is the law should apply to all.

Well, thinking back... who was it that pushed over Netscape and others by not providing a browser choice palette until told to do so by the commision and later again "forgot" in their upgrade package? Who was it that tried to monopolize javascript? Etc. In fact who is it that is never first with anything but instead comes up from behind and takes over?
I'm all for breaking up monopolies. And don't forget the ones on the desktop. But perhaps Android(Linux)/ARM can handle that as well without the commision.

If MS was sued for this kind of practice, you fans of Google say Google must NOT be sued now for same practice? Is that fair? Are you so much manipulated? Google deserves the same fate as MS. Monopol is bad for freedom.

The Fairsearch are NOT, I repeat, are NOT seeking for fair services but to fight against Google to gain more share. THAT is their goal. THAT's what are ALL the companies doing. YOU are just what makes money for them. No need to get butthurt here just because MOST people prefer Google's services over others.

Google is the best as it has worked a lot to become no.1 like Apple a few yrs ago.Sad to see companies being bad losers,Nokia in particular.

AnonD-41271, 10 Apr 2013So now.... Google is the new Old Microsoft? In a manner of speaking. But the fandroids seems to think that the rules shouldn't apply to Google, judging by the comments here.
Of course, that could just be a sign of the selective illiteracy they seem to suffer from, the poor things.

But seriously. Google's plans for world domination needs to be scrutinized.

google is an evil power which is trying to take over the world.
its pure monopoly , it tries to oust the micro sd card slot from mobile phones n try to aggressively promote its cloud services n one day it will try to take over the world.
god save the planet from google.

justaguy, 10 Apr 2013well it is fine for you and many others because we are all ... moreI would disagree. First of all, I don't spill my whole identity on the Internet like Facebook losers do... Yes, Google is trying to make sure more and more people would use their products, but really, I'm not going to search for the best service in the world, I simply want a fast and reliable service to provide me the functionality I'm looking for as quick as possible, Google does that. When you need to find something, you don't look around Bing, Yahoo and all the other ones just to check which one does it best, do you? You simply "Google it" and get what you were looking for quickly. I don't care what company dominates what, if my computer provides me the service, I'm happy. :P
