If they are going to downgrade their 8gb ram down to 6gb ram on 2023 devices, they better be putting ddr5 ram then.

My Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 has 120hz Display, not 90hz. This is the 256gb and 8gb ram one. Unless, they are talking about the 2021 version or 128gb 2022 one, that is incorrect in the article.

hmm, 03 May 2023There is no problem that it's 720p screen as it saves ... more720p for $250 sounds bad. Despite 120Hz. I would rather have higher resolution than higher frame rate. At least it is LCD and not pentile OLED, which would make the display look even more "pixelated".

Logo23, 04 May 2023New great pice of ewaste. Thanks Motorola! Good job!Every electronics are e-waste if you think about it.

I love it when they confidentially write "If you’re thinking that this isn’t particularly impressive compared against the Snapdragon 750G of the 2020 model or even the Dimensity 700 of the 2022 model, you’d be right." I mean this is true. 💀

Come to think of it this has to be one of the cheapest phones with 120Hz I can think of.

crispcketlicker, 02 May 2023E-waste...SD480+ and Helio G85 are good enough to run the OS smoothly, so this is certainly not e-waste. RAM and storage are adequate as well for most people.

720p at 120Hz seems about par for the price this phone is selling at.

hmm, 03 May 2023There is no problem that it's 720p screen as it saves ... moreThe battery life is still going to be garbage anyway because the SD480+ uses Samsung's 8nm (basically 10nm+) process. Also 5G uses a lot of battery too.

And other hardware of it is also limited like it cant have good cameras cause there is no support for them cause of the SD480+
Have something like SD765 that is old but still has more features and cause it's old chip it should not cost a lot too to rise the phone price.

But then again for people in that price range the camera is totally secondary as it's good that it has it and the quality is anyways not expected to be anything special while all phones now already anyways have good enough cams to capture your daily needs and social media will anyways reduce the quality when uploaded to the sites.

PhoneFreak45, 02 May 2023If you only had a budget of 250$ for your phone for the nex... moreI would say that 250 euro is crazy much for all these specs you see for this phone.
It's not only screen that fails. You get a lot better phones with that price and even AMOLED screens in that price range and yes all these phones probably wont have much of updates but even so it's probably better cause the phones were optimized for the specific hardware and that operation system so new android updates are not optimized for the phone hardware so much and can also have hidden features that activate in time to start to slow your phone down so you buy new phone cause we live in a era where products dont last long for the reason that people consume more.

5 years ago i got me budget 170 euro Redmi note 5 ai dual cam wit h 32GB storage and 3GB ram. Still works no problems and is as slow as when i bough it.

Never mind that this prone probably cost around 300 euro in Europe or even more so it be competing with phones that have like SD778 in them
Even moto G72 is expensive as heck with Helio G99 and 270 euro in my local market online shops.

Only thing that is good with Moto is that you get the stock android and updates for longer period then any other brand in that price range of budget. Even tough for me budget ends at maximum 200 euro.

I like the design (except for the chin) but 720p in 2023, come on Motorola. There is almost no difference between 120Hz and 90Hz, except 24 fps (23.976) videos (most of them) will play better on 120Hz display. VRR or multiple refresh rate modes should become standard considering media consumption nowadays. And more phones could be released with wider aspect ratio, something like 18:9. I have phone with 20:9 AR and find it too narrow.

the downgrade to HD+ is blasphemy!

though I think people who buy moto in America probably doesn't care about those things.

Actually the normal Moto Stylus 4G probably had a 90hz screen, the Moto Stylus 5G has a 120hz screen and can be bought for about $200 today.
