So weird to me they went with wireless trickle charge over using a glass back. My primary Pixel 6a is scratched to heck, but it would be in much better shape with glass over plastic. Glass also just feels infinitely better in hand.

The Poco F5/ Pro were already reviewed in many brazilian YT channels ... where the official announcement isn't done yet and nothing appears in gsmarena or kimovil.

Not to mention tion how many people don’t even know that most, if not all smartphones lack a dac in the USBC port nowdays, all the work is done by a dongle.
Also true that Lg jad better dacs, heck even their phones without quad dac had better dacs than sony phones nowdays.
Another phone with great dacs are rhe Asus ROG phones.

the fact that pixel 7a has almost the same battery as the pixel 6a, means it will have much better battery life

Idkxx, 05 May 2023just coz u can connect it wth an adapter doesnt mean audio ... moredo you realize that even a cheap 5$ apple or samsung usb-c to 3.5mm adapter has a built in DAC? they will sound miles better than any phones ( except lg thinq) 3.5mm jack...

Bet Google sent the phone so this YouTuber (which I‘ve heard of in the past, I think they were the first to teardown the iPhone 14 non-Pro) can show off the repair-friendly design. That will make the price hike seem like a good deal still. Or the price hike rumor is just bait too, so the old price will seem like a great deal.

A 4300mah battery is a shame. The A series phones normally had lower specs than the flagships but a bigger battery to compensate. There's no need for wireless charging at this spec and price point, it takes unnecessary space and maybe a bigger battery could have been installed. I wanted 4500mah or higher. I think the T2 chipset will make the phone more battery efficient than the 6a. The pixel 7 was around 15% better so maybe something similar for the 7a.

Google needs to do something with their batteries/efficiency.
Even the Pixel 6a with a 6.1'' 1080p 60hz display and a 4410mah battery and no bloatware, the battery life in general was mediocre, worse than even the S23 with 120hz screen and smaller battery. Thats really pathetic.

According to another YouTuber, munchy, the Pixel 7a does use a 4310mAh battery. I was surprised that they used a 13MP ultrawide and not a 12mp unit. Unsure if he mentioned selfies. Maybe a 12mp unit too. I do have a hunch that the Sony sensor in the Pixel 7a will outperform even the Pixel 7. But only time will tell.
