Q1 was great for Apple too, they almost outsold Samsung for first time ever, only 2 million units less. Samsung sold whopping 13 million less units than Q1 2022, q1 2023 was very bad for Android OEMs, Apple again kept stoling users from Android 😉

Not using gray matter properly. iOS is just under one company. It's not like Apple va orange lol. About vw, they mostly share parts, engine or sometime platforms still each company has distinctive goals and ideology. Unlike Android oems. They're all just android, nothing new. Even Harmony os. You can think windows as one platform but not Android? Yeah knowledge level Apple user 😂😂

And about car shares, Toyota alone sells more car than whole VW lol

Chinese are putting much more efforts. Their phones are now almost per with Sammy. Goodness me. Your knowledge is fairy tale level for sure. Those companies would be like LG or Sony if they don't get enough profit. Let alone innovation.

It's clear seen that q4 is the time for apple. They release new devices in that period. Otherwise it's all declining. And another lowest share since 2017, ops you can't see past right? Android gain much more customers after 2010 period. Before that iOS had basically more users. And still it all rules by android.

Android peaked 2019 and since that it's been downhill like you see.

Also why would it be Android vs iOS? I mean how Android OEMs benefits from all that share? They doesn't, it's Apple who collect almost all the money from the market and Samsung gets some leftovers and others nothing.

That's like saying Tesla is losing car market because they don't own highest marketshare from the car market 🤦🏻‍♂️

I honestly think Musk doesn't care?

It's android vs ios. iOS merely have 20% market share once which was 27% at max. In profit by adding all Apple can't even match the level of android. This iTroll never went to school

[deleted post]Yes, comparing a company market share with an entire ecosystem. Genius.
Is like saying Mercedes is such a bad company, it doesn't have nearly the market share as Volkswagen Group. But Volkswagen Group has maybe 6 car companies in it.

If you want to be fair in your comparison, compare Apple and Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi, Apple and Motorola, etc.

Anonymous, 07 May 2023"Android don't have clueless users." Stra... moreTrue. I recently sold my LG G6 to some girl's grandfather, who wanted the G6 as a sort of "upgrade" from his very old LG G3 or something.

When I posted the ad, most of the people who wanted to buy it were mostly middle aged to old people, with the exception of some young foreigners who were obviously broke af.

I cannot ever see youngsters justify buying a 6 year old phone.

[deleted post]Why would Apple dream Android level marketshare? They are already winning in every metric which is important for a company 😆 Android companies keep getting leftovers just like it's been years.

You are getting so desperate 😂 i'm surprised you even came back

For example my big brother is even bigger nerd than me and he was Android user for many many years, then he had enough money to buy iPhone and he's staying on iPhone and he have never owned any Apple devices before, does this mean he now just suddenly turned clueless non tech guy? 😆

Also my dad were Android user, he's very clueless about tech, my mom is Android user, yes she's propably most clueless person about tech or phones i know, then my grandmom is also Android user, she's also very clueless.

Only Samsung is able to sell more units than Apple and even Samsung sales last q were down whopping 13 million units, Apple only sold two million less phones than Samsung Q1, which is something have never happened and not even close.

Strange, all my dad friends and connections (people above 65 years old, that have little ideas about smartphones), use Android phones.
And I never ever seen an old person with an iPhone.

Now, I am not saying old people are clueless users. But I doubt that they are tech gurus, lol.

You might want to reconsider your statement.

"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's".

Besides, companies like Apple or Samsung, didn't get where they are by luck or because people are blind and they are buying them without thinking, like many people on this site claim.
Why didn't Xiaomi get to that level? Even though they had a pretty good chance in doing so, even to reach no. 1. Because, they didn't have the same quality overall, in time. People where buying Xiaomi phones like ice creams in the summer, 3-4 years ago. Nowadays, fewer and fewer people are buying Chinese phones, but still buy Samsung and iPhones in large numbers. Hmm I wonder why?

[deleted post]You might want to recheck that, Android marketshare is steadily going down https://www.counterpointresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Global-Smartphone-Sales-Share-by-OS-1.png

Truth hurts, doesn't it? 😁 Android marketshare is currently lowest since it peaked 2019.

What does the S23 ultra really have that stands out from my a52s? A pen? A camera that hopefully isn't over-sharpened? A display that I have to spend a premium to get a screen protector for? It's like buying an 8K TV instead of a 720p TV, but the 8K TV displays in black and white while my 720p TV displays in full color. You would probably choose the 720p TV, right? I don't care too much if my phone has the fastest processor if it's memory can't be expanded or if it can't have a built-in headphone jack. Maybe if they made flagships have all the features that are on midranger as well I might buy a flagship again.

[deleted post]This progress isn't surprising when Apple sells only high-end and rakes in €500 or more per phone in profit.
