Either way, some WP/WinRT users will be burned one way or another(two OSes-two stores, two purchases for the same app; one "new" OS - at least one "old" OS apps (WP8 and/or WinRT) won't be compatible with it).
The ONLY WAY for MS to keep its customers in any of these cases is to offer the customers their apps from the "old" OS in the "new" OS for free. That would be very expensive, but it's the only way MS can survive in this market. They caused their own problem when they made the WinRT for tablets and not used WP8 instead.

Guys no lag, but the OS lacks a notification center and more customization options, also inline message delivery notification. To respond to the news a fourth row would help to put more apps on the home screen so its a good extra if its true. I had 7.5, now i have 7.8 and the difference is huge belive me, the tile size really does matter...!

Windows8... moreThey do . . . I have apps on my Lumia 920 that have pictures. For example a picture of a calculator (not a metro style graphic) for a calculator app.
You apparently do not have a Windows Phone . . .

An additional column of tiles is way better than the additional row of icons of the iPhone5... that's real innovation! :-)

Yes it might be boring for some but the monotones help in keep the things simple and clean, plus it saves and extra load on CPU to render all those various coloured graphics. Effectiveness in simplicity is the heart of the Metro UI

Are you sure you didn't bought once those cheap imitation phones. :D :D :D. Agree app selection is on the lower side, but most of the necessary apps are there in place. It even has a disqus app that is not even available for iOS and Android.

I honestly have not used windows phone 8 yet but i think the OS is still on it's early stage. Maybe in the next 2 years it can compete with IOS or android. I hope it will come to a stage that it will function like a PC.

The monotone Metro User Interface is very boring.
Windows8 should allow user how to place the original appd icons on the short cut page rather than the monotone dummy icon from Metro Interface.

WP is not good at all only good for 2 months and then it will start to lag and stutter, not to mention the limited selection in the market.
I ended selling it and i lost so much and i bought myself iPhone 4S.

I have small hands, so its opposite for me, anything above 5 inches and I can't use it with one hand and i like to use my phone at least with one hand, but if they slip out it irritates me. So I guess my limit has been defined :D :D :D

I have to admit, in you case you've got a point. ;) But I can say this, in all the years that I've owned gadgets, I've never broken even a single display, and with the increasing size of phones it's getting even harder. Those little things from the old days always tried to slip out of my hands but not since the displays increased to 4 inches and beyond... not anymore.
