Phil, 11 May 2023Can a phone be fix if the power ic gave up?Is the rest of the phone undamaged, just the battery can't charge anymore? In that case: Yes, if the power IC is on a separate board (i.e. Xiaomi A1, the board can be replaced very easily) if the IC is on the same board as the other components, it's at least a microsolder job an likely not worth the cost of replacement unless it's a very expensive phone.

Another worthless Chinese phone without an SD card slot.

Anonymous, 10 May 2023Big question : How long will the motherboard Last?My Poco M3's board lasted 13 months (before Power IC gave up)

And X3 NFC asted 2 years and 3 months

Using a vivo y21T. With its snapdragon 680 after enabling 60fps it's smoother with no throttling in PUBGM than X3 NFC with supposedly more powerful processor.

And provides 15 hours+ screen on time with a 5000mah battery compared to 10 hours I got with poco M3 for similar usage.

The screen is brighter than both.

Only if it had hardware gyroscope. My X3 failed last week so in search of a newer phone for gaming

Realme GT Master Edition is falls in same budget as X3 NFC so I plan on going for that.

The IQOO 11 is the only other one I can think of but it's only available in a limited number of markets. I prefer flat screens as well

Poco F5 Pro's design looks like any other mediocre mid-range or low-end phone in the market. Not eye-catching but people with tight budget can buy this for the specs.

'Yesterday's technology' ofc man what do you expect it's literally a sub-500 phone, what are you expecting LTPO, 8 Gen 2, periscope?

Jeez man people can never be happy.

Yesterday's technology and another iteration of the same thing, the drawback spells software incredible amount of uselessness for everyone who knows what they want

It's so cost so much than the previous 220$ mark a flagship to all people. the problem with xiaomi is their making flagship now while their rest lineup is trash and the terrible redicoulus phones. they unable sustain the performance and the trash of overpricing things is not anymore budget oriented device anymore is about luxury who can afford stuff so expenrive and you don't miui is trash and is so expensive no more variants and great spec and hardware every price range getting expensive the less you spend the more E-waste would have been

47cosmos, 10 May 2023Price? I don't care. Would it more expensive than mi 13?!then wait for 13 ultra you are so wrong buying poco for camera.you want more cheaper? go for redmi note 12 pro but yeah it has a average performance

poco only have a decent maybe average camera.not bad and not good

there's no support for camera in every midrange phone on all oem including samsung.it just work and give a better results above other midrange and that's it

its pointless buying a midrange phone for "camera"

47cosmos, 10 May 2023Price? I don't care. Would it more expensive than mi 13?!No, it would be cheaper than the Xiaomi 13 of course. There is an 8 gen 2 version in China with the same design and screen. Basically everything is the same except for for 3 things. It has 120w wired charging, the 8 gen2 chip, and an imx800 (1/1.56" effective size) main sensor instead of the OV64b. The price would be a lot more though which is probably why they didn't release it. Given the Poco F5 pro already costs €580 for just 8gb 256gb (after tge early bird price), you're talking about €750 - €800 based on Chinese pricing. In reality who's gonna pay €750 for a pocophone? Xiaomi knows what they're doing with pricing and the target market of Poco. In China the Redmi k60 pro is priced around the same as the Oneplus 11. It's not selling well at all. The k60 (Poco F5 pro) has sold much better. The Poco F5 is the one to go for though for people who don't care about cameras (especially video quality as the video quality is really poor. The video quality is a lot better in the pro version)

I'm still rocking the F2 Pro that cost me under 500€ on launch and the F5 Pro doesn't offer that much an temptation to upgrade. Sure theres performance boost and better screen ( Tho an hole punch yuck!) , Main camera has OIS but the rest are not better and the macro camera is an joke on F5Pro. Maybe an wireless charger is nice to have but not an must for me...what else, plastic frame over aluminium, then again F5Pro has antenna lines so the frame must be aluminium despite many say its plastic... Ohther than those I don't see me buying these anytime soon. Every manufacturer is stripping down properties and features and pumping up the prices in the prosess.
Was tempted to get the Honor Magic 5 Pro but meh. Then again i could have had S23 Ultra even cheaper but i'll wiat for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra's global release and go from there.
