Features common to AQUOS R8 and AQUOS R8 pro
Both models feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform chipset
In the AQUOS R8 and AQUOS R8 pro, a circular camera unit is placed in the center of the back as in the previous model, but a heat dissipation mechanism is installed around this lens.
The design is designed to reduce heat on the software side so as not to waste energy on each application, while directing the heat generated to the camera ring.
This allows up to twice the video recording at 60 fps and up to three times the time before frame drops can be experienced during high-load gameplay compared to the AQUOS R7.
We have not been able to test the actual heat dissipation performance since we have not been able to conduct tests where heat is actually expected to be generated, such as long camera runs and heavily loaded app games, but it is a promising new design, partly because it is a new patent-pending technology.
