IQ200, 13 May 2023If you care only for performance then sure, you can't ... moreAnd if by any chance you want a longer software support because you want to have your phone for longer, then Pixel has at least one advantage over Poco's.
Man will not bother you by gaming because Tensor chip sux at advanced games.
But please stop telling me that lonngevity and endurance of a phone is based on updates thats a lie.
Know plenty of people with Something like Redmi note 4, or 4X, Samsung S3, S4 etc.
Even my old Motorola X4 from 2017 which ended with android 9 is still as good as new and perfectly working.
Phone is almost 6 years old now but runs smoothly as first day of use.
Because of pure android experience and zero bloatware and because Snapdragon is waaaay better than Tensor.
don't you try it for your self, I mean you are "the owner" of mobile chain with how many you said of shops? 20? 30? If you can't take one free device for yourself to test out then who can? Lol
Man yes its 30 shops exactly 31. And hinestly i have not much against google since its a pure android experience right???
And no stupid UI bloatware. There are just two things or problems with google pixel here in Slovakia.
First lack of availability. Over past 2-3 years i or my staff saw like 10 maybe 20 people with google pixel phone most of them were foreiginiers from abroad. So even if i would try we have no single unit to test. And we have no company to buy from like for example Samsung, Xiaomi, Nokia, Motorola etc.
And the second thing camera is not everything i need. I need balanced all rounder.
Camera is important for me but since i play Clash of lords from 2014 9 years now i need a gaming phone too. So pixel is no for me.
Lastly since this involves problem one is a price.
For same price maybe i dont find a better brand new i buy only brand new phones so no used or 1-2 years old device with better camera than a google pixel. But at said price it have nothing else better apart the camera.
In other words its not perfect all rounder since it have only said camera good for what i need. Slow charging and performance are my main problems with google pixel.
Since i tasted sterpids of fast charging i am addicted.
Now i use 67W charging speeds and even this is slow for me after 2 years of use would like to have more.

gno1212, 11 May 2023This 64MP nonsense is probably isocell gw1 used by redmi no... moreI could do the same as you and say... only a fool will look at the sheet alone with hardware specs on it, but totally ignoring the fact that every phone has the software too. Those two have to be in balance if you want your results to be good and Pixel is well known for having a mega results with poor hardware. How can they achieve it? With software optimization.
The most easiest part is to just buy and connect hardware parts in your device, but the real magic is when you optimize it with software and that needs time. A lot of time.
Example:
Take a look at 1/2.55" main sensor for every Pixel since Pixel 2. It's small by today standards, but look at the camera results Pixel 6a is having. Now compare that with some other much bigger sensors from mid-range category or even high-end or flagship. Pixel's 6a camera results are by far better then what competition has to offer. Software is important as much as hardware, but of course.. I'm very aware that most of people here will most likely look just at the hardware specs totally neglecting the fact that many phones have the exact same hardware, but the software is one to make a crucial difference in final results.
Cheers!

AnonD-454049, 10 May 2023relax conspiracy theorist, them cutting corners to increase... morePlease tell me your opinion about:
1. Why companies such as Oppo and Realme brag about ultra fast charging speeds with certification from RUV Rheinland but only for battery safety? Who cares for that? Who would in their right mind produce a phone with high risk of battery imploding? I'm not counting the Galaxy Note7 fiasco, as that wasn't on purpose. That's not what people want to know. People's concern is about impact on battery longevity not the fricking info that the battery would be safe to use with all those short and quick cycles charges.
2. Oppo's 50W and 66W SuperVooc are certified with RUV Rheainland that it doesn't have a meaningful impact on battery longevity, but every other standard they introduced later it's all just what companies told us with their "internal testing". Not a single mention of certification. Why?
3. Samsung is the largest small electronics parts company in the world. They make almost everything these days for other companies. Their main business has always been surrounded with big numbers. Why would they neglect that opportunity on purpose with offering an ultra fast charging speeds?
4. Samsung has power bricks ranging from 180W to 240W for their laptop line, so does that means they don't know how to make a battery with two or more cells? Or make enough thick cable to be able to transfer that enormous charging speeds? Of course they could do it. But then why don't they? And why don't they include charger in the box?
Can't you see it's all connected? Samsung pledged for a longer software support for their mobiles and don't include chargers in the box, because they prioritize longevity of device over quick charges. Plus that old argument of being "green". We can laugh about that, but the point is they can make an ultra-fast chargers just as for some other products they got, but they choose not to do it. Who wouldn't want to use a fast charger? It's really a no brainer that is a useful thing to have. There is only one but... There is no guarantee how's battery gonna perform in 3 or 4 years of use. If you want to use your phone for 6 months or a year that's perfectly fine with me, but for example, I'm not that type of buyer. I want to use my device as long as possible, until battery dies out or if the phone becomes unreliable.
My conclusion: It's not all just black and white, it all depends on what we personally believe more and what sounds more logic.
Now, if companies would by any chance in future provide us with solid proof such as above mentioned certification, then it would be a whole another thing and then Samsung and all brands which it sells their parts to, wouldn't have an alibi for not having faster charger then 30W. For now, they do have a pretty strong alibi, it just depends on you and your trusting what companies are advertising.
Cheers!

Cpt.Power, 11 May 2023500 for a midranger worth 300. No thanks.
Poco F5 Pro is ... moreIf you care only for performance then sure, you can't go wrong with Poco. But not a single Poco can't beat Pixel's main camera results, which people believe it or not, mostly want on a phone for a couple of years now. Only people emulating games and playing demanding games will always want something stronger as they prioritize the chipset performance over anything else. And if by any chance you want a longer software support because you want to have your phone for longer, then Pixel has at least one advantage over Poco's. I know you will try to tell me how can Pixel run Diablo game in few years and its chipset would be too slow, but please don't go with that argument. Not a single regular flagship can't fight against specialized gaming phones out there. Why? Because gaming phone is not all rounder, its camera results sucks! But it mostly doesn't matter to those who want to buy it, because all they care about is perfomance and cooling, because they want to play high demanding games on a phone. ON A PHONE! Lol... Not even those specialized phones can't sustain the power without throttling and they really have some super specialized and custom cooling solutions. Meaning what? Only geeks and people playing games on phone would matter about how chipset is performing on benchmarks, but in real world you can't notice the difference except when you play those high demanding games. In the other hand, if you said something about efficiency of this G2 "crapset" then I'll would agree with you, because in efficiency Tensor chipsets are not the greatest out there, but performance wise nobody except geeks glued to benchmark scores and people playing games would noticed the difference between SD8 G2 and this Tensor G2. Why don't you try it for your self, I mean you are "the owner" of mobile chain with how many you said of shops? 20? 30? If you can't take one free device for yourself to test out then who can? Lol
Haver a nice and fulfilled day Captain!

507AMS, 11 May 2023pretty great? let me show you the main drawbacks of this ph... more1. Very true, not a dealbreaker but annoying
2. It's 90Hz, an upgrade from last generation's 60Hz. Not a flaw.
3. ???
4. Read the top comment. Not a flaw.
5. RAM is fine, storage is bad, one of the biggest dealbreakers.
6. Another major drawback.
7. Not a drawback when Samsung sells a phone with Exynos 1380 for the same price lol
Other major drawbacks:
8. No headphone jack
9. No MicroSD slot
10. Bad battery life most likely

If this phone doesn't have fingerprint and modem issues, it'll be a great midranger in the US, especially if it goes on sale. Other than that, worst thing about this phone is the storage, 128GB, no other options, no MicroSD slot. Edit: And considering how the battery wasn't good on the 6a, expect below-average battery life.

Very nice phone once it gets to the 400$ dollars ballpark, which i guess it wont take long.
If google squeeze the sensor potential of the IMX787 as well as the one in the pixel 6a and the previous pixel, watch out.
At current prices 6a its to me a better deal though.

I've enjoyed my Pixel 6a and the 7a looks a solid improvement. Not the cheapest phone in the 'budget' bracket but will certainly be the smartest thanks to its AI and unmatched camera in the price range. I've even seen reviews saying it takes better more consistent pics than the iPhone 14 Pro. The Tensor G2 will still have more power than what what most people will ever need, so benchmark stats are useless to most.
I'll stick with my 6a though until I see what the Pixel 8 has to offer.

They just decide that "clean" software and long update support are more important to them then the stuff I listed.
