Complaining about the 60hz of an entry-level smartphone but there are still people in 2023 who use an iPhone 14 with a 60hz screen and brightness below 1500nits.

    10 series selling point is compact phone, lightweight design which give incredible battery life, 60hz display, Sd 695 make sense, the only alternative would de Dimensity 900/920/1080 or Sd 4 gen 1.

    Some people need phone like these, they travel places without power for days, instead of using feature phone or carry bricks with them phone like these do a work. Its not for everyone but atleast Sony cover important Niche in our life.

                Took sony long enough for this.. lol

                  What is the point of having 120Hz screen when battery depletes within few hours when we use it? On my S22 Ultra I never used it because I am forced to turn off to save battery. Same for WQHD+ resolution. Both are useless on my S22 Ultra. Don't know about S23 though.

                      Everything seems good especially the 5,000mah for 6.1" device... But then see the Processor (SD695) *facepalm*.

                      SD695 is by no mean bad processor, but it depends on price of device. At Sony asking price, its absurdly expensive yet so underpowered.

                      Sorry Sony you're still not there, this is clearly DOA. Unless you really want small phone with very good battery backup and/or maybe no other choice.

                          690 has support for HDR screen, usb 3.1 and 4K recording. All available on 10iii.
                          695 does not.

                          Basically 695 is "490" ..

                            SD 695? I guessed right some time ago.. they are still using it. I'm not sure they will be 6 Gen 1. Even Chinese phones don't exist yet let alone Sony will give it first which is impossible.

                            Pixel 7a is even much better than this.

                              I was considering this for my Girl friend since she doesn't like massive phones. Now these specs are disappointing a better processor and at least a 90hz refresh rate would have made me buy it.

                                Perfect, dont care 60hz cause lazy to put in charge, btw where is motorola truly wireless charge concept without phone has to attach to wi-charge and distant between phone and charge 1-2m I do fancy moto n sony for their innovation like this v with light weight but big bat, better than my iphone

                                  Yeah, unless one is absolutely desperate for those two features, they should have no reason to choose 10 V over its predecessor.

                                    It is greed. Nothing else.

                                      Was hoping maybe this year they'd upgrade the processor and up the screen refresh rate to at least make a contender to the a54 but, no it's basically a 10 IV with 2 changes instead of an acceptable entry level sony phone to keep up with the market.

                                        I don't really care much about it since most apps are still capping at 60Hz anyway. What bothers me is the SoC. Even Sony isn't using the 6 Gen 1? I always thought Sony always put the latest SoC for their new phone. It makes me wonder what is wrong with 6 Gen 1 in general. At this point, I may as well just buy last year's 10 Mk4 from the secondhand market.
