Nintendo games are made to be fun, not souless cash grabs. For starters they are PLAYABLE, which is simply no possible on a crappy touchscreen.

Gaming is all about graphics? Gaming today is more simplified and sterilised than ever, despite all new grapichal capabilities. You don't know good Vidya.                 I don't think the battery will last more than 60 minutes max. The hardware is too powerful for the battery tech which has not matured in the same way as CPU/GPU hardware.
                Also the Steam Deck is still the best portable console.

                Another and much more important thing is Asus' absolutely terrible, abysmal and horrendous Quality control. Their laptops have tons upon tons of QC-issues and many users report having to return laptops 2-3 times before getting one that works.
                Also Asus laptops break down much more frequently due to the terrible QC and low-quality components.

                I would never ever buy this console due to their horrendous QC. The consol will break down after 6-12 months of use.

Some folks wants to play games after that era. Not just from 20 years ago. Steam Deck can emulate Wii U games pretty well. Games like Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and BOTW were released on the Wii U.

                      The other issue is INPUT LAG using a wireless Bluetooth controller. I would use an 8BitDo SN30 Pro or DualShock 4. Especially with the former, input lag is obvious playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! via Lemuroid. I'd get hit after I try to move left or right to dodge. So I understand folks who buy those sub-$300 dedicated Chinese handhelds.

                      I have most of my favorite video games on my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 from the NES to GameCube eras. Yet, I would rather play my old favorites prior to the Nintendo 64 era on my modded PS Vita 2000 model. Better d-pad. No input lag. It just feels better to play on an actual dedicated handheld. Only thing annoying is no L2/R2 triggers.

                                    Most smartphone games are rendered around 480p and upscaled.

                                    Also you cant run 99% of games which deck can run with your phone.
