Reminds me of Lenovo's model - a successful system integrator of third party OEMs. It's not a complete waste after all, the trained personnel will find their way into other chip manufacturers' business.

Thing is, Apple actually pulled it off with excellent Bionic and M chips and the rest just did underwhelming camera ISP unit next to already capable ones found in existing chipsets.

ACHTUNg, 13 May 2023Sad news :( Oppo chips were great and high quality.Not really worth the billions spent. Phones without Marisilicon chip like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro achieved comparable results to the Oppo Find X6 Pro.
