As an indian i admire the growth of the chinese company how they revolutionize the smartphone market in india but right now its all about samsung ,(Xiaomi or BBK group and transsion holding). But most of indian (who care about privacy)are not comfortable with data which is going to China and Communist party can demand it whenever they want

There's nothing wrong with that, and I think it's neat that a country like India is pushing for "local" phones, but for all these raging fanboys in the comments section to spout off against China, it makes me question their mental states.
China is literally building or providing parts to your patriotic phone makers lol.

Don't care if they copy a good design from any where since they are assembling the phone in india. Any phone from BBK group have different different name but follow same design language .Plus the specs, software with no ads and replacement warranty sweetening the deal. Honeslty i find it similar to the one plus 7t and feel nothing wrong with that since competition are offering same design makes this unique in this price category. Now whats left is camera optimization with their ui and providing good software experience for this segement.Cheers to indian company offering VFM phone in this price category

They bought the design and started manufacturing the phone in their own factory, it's that simple.

I can share the link if you want. It may be possible they copied design. If their line up bought from Coosea Group then how can they providing brilliant customer care service from last 3-4 years. You can check on youtube even from their 50-60$ phone customer were really happy from their services If they are giving direct replacement warranty they must have really good faith in their product.

[deleted post]I'm not a girl, but this phone wasn't made in India, or even made by Lava. Coosea Group made it, just like with the first Lava Agni 5G. Them outsourcing there phones from other manufacturers has already been confirmed by other commenters as well, but you just have to google it, it's very easy to find and you don't even have to be an agent to find it.

Except the last part, they didn't copy anything from Coosea Group, the first Agni and many other Lava phones were bought from them. Not sure about the second one, but it's likely a similar story.
Just google search Coosea Group and it will be obvius instantly. Sad.
Not to mention, that Lava isn't the only one buying designs from Coosea and this is just one example.

Those who comparing with iqoo z7 please don't forget curved amoled display with 120hz refresh rate. As you guys know dispaly and motherboard most costly parts on any smartphone. As for compairing real me 11 pro plus how does it even make sense to compare which is not unveiled in india.
As for software front lava even provide sub 100$ 2 major os upgrade which was mentioned on launch video. And they are getting regularly security patches.
And do not forget their top tier customer support. Under100-125$ category they are providing free home service and for this device they are giving free replacement policy for hardware defect. In this era of this environment when brands deniying warranty due to scratch on glass(including samsung) this is really commendable.
As for ODM issue let's assume they tried to copy real me 11 pro+ or they have tried to copy one of Coosea Group product how does it make sense to manufacture the product from them when they are making smartphone for motorola and nokia in india. How can this act can be economically viable when they have capicity to do so in india
