Verizon's Nokia Lumia 928 to have Super AMOLED display?

15 April, 2013
This is instead of a PureMotion HD+ display. The sAMOLED one is thinner and lighter, but slightly taller.

I'll be waiting for the actual device becoming available, so that all the Nokia fans can scream how the screen is so much better than anything else, while the actual screen is nothing different from what's out there. It's even likely that by some magic dust, Nokia's Oled screens do not suffer from burn in issues, where all other Oled users do have it.

In any case, news of little value, unless you're a Verizon user in the running for a Nokia phone.

Lumias will never get my attention until the day they will put that 808 camera on one of them and add OIS to it. The major reason why I buy Nokia is because of their cameras

highly doubt it. im assuming that the nokia lumia 928 will be exactly like the 920, just cdma. wouldnt make sense for them to make another, better phone than their current flagship, just for verizon.

i compared my htc one v (slcd2 without ips) to a s3, my slcd is generations ahead in terms of color reproduction and even the max brightness. s3 has one of the shittest screen ever, worser probably than the micromax canvas hd

But one disadvantage for AMOLED screen is once u get used to it... u find it terrible to look at LCD screen...

The only advantages of AMOLED over the IPS LCD are the pitch black, perfect viewing angles and always-on screensaver. The disadvantage is dreadful though, the permanent screen burn-in that could start to show as early as a week or month after you've bought your phone. The IPS LCD of the Lumia 920 is almost perfect. It's bright, vibrant, and has saturated colors on par with AMOLED and it doesn't get screen burn-in.
