Verizon's Nokia Lumia 928 to have Super AMOLED display?

15 April, 2013
This is instead of a PureMotion HD+ display. The sAMOLED one is thinner and lighter, but slightly taller.

AnonD-136108, 15 Apr 2013You probably enjoy the screen burn that ALL Super AMOLED su... morenot all amoled screens burn at all, i have had a few and have never seen ghosting on them and i use my xurrent galaxy s3 phone alot, however my friends also has a galaxy s3 and i have seen the very slightest etching of color burn in, its the side effect of how amoleds are made, and a simple app will remove it, called screen burn app from play store its free and works in the same way people used to remove screen burn from lcd mointers, by forcing Different colors though the pixel to aggrevate it, so all it does is run a series of colors throughout the screen multiple times, i offerd to do this on my friends phone and left it for around 5 minutes as advised!, it did not work, so i left it longer and sure enough after about 15 minutes the dock icon and clock burn were almost completely gone, except unless i turned the brightness way down and viewed at multiple angles, simple, just run it again, and now I can not see anything.....

Hmm at this rate, the Lumia 940 will have the same specs as the Galaxy S3.

Please Samsung don't do this. That waste box don't deserve your superb screen.

who cares, 15 Apr 2013lol to all the nokia fanboys who hated om my amoled samsung... moreYou probably enjoy the screen burn that ALL Super AMOLED suffers. It ruins the screen with those permanent, ugly ghost-like impressions of burned silhouettes.

Having a Super AMOLED is like having a disease that gets worse and worst over time. It's there and one day, it will ruin the whole thing. It also affects the price of the phone if you decide to sell it. No one in their right mind will buy something with a defect that's built in.

I don't understand why would anyone cry over an AMOLED screen in Nokia phones. Just because Samsung builds phones with it? Silly.
Look at the Nokia 808 PV. Has an AMOLED screen coupled with Nokia's ClearBlack display. The end result is the best sunlight visibility by far (tested by this very site).
On top of that, old Nokian's do love the lock screen clock. An AMOLED screen is just perfect for it.

lol to all the nokia fanboys who hated om my amoled samsung..haha oh the irony...

I don't think it's true, but if it is, it will be not good. This IPS LCD screen is very good, so don't change it.

Don't do this Nokia! Don't even think of tainting your superphones with crappy over saturated screens.
