What about battery life? In my opinion this is the most important aspect that phone designers should focus on.
I do not have any data plan, not because I can not afford it, but because it will kill my battery. I have a " wireless mobile phone", but with today's technology, this wireless mobile device has to be connected to a socket in a wall for an hour every day. They should call it a semi-wireless semi-mobile phone....

With a small increase in width its possible.
But thats not the way technology should be heading, we should have efficient SOC and OS that works well with smaller batteries.

I don't agree it's a multimedia world and big screen are very much appreciated for pictures mails ... What we need to ask is a high end android with physical keyboard I know a lot of people who use Nokia or blackberry because android don't have a decent phone with physical keyboard so it's a must.

Any thing more than 4.3" should not be called a phone.
why? Because its out of the range of portability.

I think the major problem is going to be the battery life. You can't place a 2400 mAh battery into a 4-inch mobile phone. Therefore, you have to think about cutting down the battery drain, but you must not compromise on performance

Seriously, why do u need that much power for? I would rather have longer battery life instead (10 hours of video, 10 hours of web browsing). My ideal phone is 720p, 4.3" screen, and 3,500mAh battery.

                      Xperia
                      S

They just cant pack all that tech in small size.
Sony Ericsson traditionally did and cared about it out.
But the market did not help them to reap the benefits.
However they still posses decent phones in that category with xperia L.
But the true answer is the ZL, it ticks every box, its less than a CM longer than the i5, but it packs an inch more in display terms.

                                Dear GSMArena,
This is an excellent idea. Why not post this as a banner on the top of the Home page rather than the news section? We need the support of more than a few thousand users to actually convince manufacturers to make phones with smaller footprint.

The original Minis were kind of lackluster, the 2011 Minis were among the best phones I've ever used. I was really excited and anxious to see what Sony brought up next, but...
