I tried to do i... moreBeen reading through petition and lots from USA signed, biggest supporter is India by far ..I fully understand what gsmarena is saying if you want top spec device you have to carry a surfboard in your pocket we want phone sized good designed smartfones with top spec...

You get big cars with small engines and big engines,,you get hot hatchbacks with stupid 2.0 litre turbo under the bonnet why cant we have octacore or snapdragon 600/800 in a small smartfone?? Also bring back design like i said way back like SAmsung P900 or some sliders for goodness sake and end this boring slab designs..

More and more tech forums are sick of this huge design monoblock smartfones with no design,,all the companys do is bring out a screen thats it no design,no thought,no real buttons and no gadgetiness if thats a word..I loved from 1997-2009 with all the glorious designs and now its just a miserable screen to look at boring, bring back the good old days.

0_0 just realized that Sony already have this XPeria V
              http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_v-4958.php

              720 x 1280 pixels, 4.3 inches (~342 ppi pixel density)
Card slot microSD, up to 32 GB
Internal 8 GB, 1 GB RAM
              13 MP
              Chipset Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon
              CPU Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait
              GPU Adreno 225

              Why didn't I realize before?

This is not the "mini-mini" series. Pure small size well-bred phone.

Sony needs to tone-up, muscle-up their marketing

seriously.. why the fuck would you care about the size? 5 inches on high end devices are fine.. plus you want a 720p 4.2 inch dual core? sounds like a mid-range phone to me, so buy midrange phones then.. or better yet, buy last years' high end phone.. sheesh, you want to stop the development of tech? because there is nowhere else to go but big unless advanced tech parts gets smaller..

you know what, buy last years xperia highend phones, you'll surely get the 720p 4.2inch dualcore you so want to have to

The current trend will also open up new possibilities for new OS'es like Firefox, Ubuntu, Jolla which are expected to perform equally well on dual core processors. Probably this is the reason Nokia is expected to make inroads into this segment with recently launched Lumias

Why do u need such a highend chipset / processor in a tiny 720p smartphone? Unless you have a highres large screen or desktop expandabiliy similar to padfone or smartdock, the high specs make absolutely no sense. Its also unlikely users will do things that require high power in such a small package.

GSM Arenas mentality points to a vain desire to posses the latest without a purpose. If u want a small factor great phone - go pick up a razor m or STFU!

Petition for worthier causes: cross compatibility, smartphone experience, desktop expandability.

One would've thought GSM arena would know better!

Meizu has a compact enough 4-inch quad core phone. Why wasn't that mentioned besides razr i and ip5. It's more compact than ip5, in actuality. Razr i really tops everyone in compactness in a phone, though.
