So, instead of buying a tablet you should do more research. Calling anything bigger than your current screen stupid doesn't make sense at all. Ignorant!

    Let's see:
For example Samsung. When Samsung made Galaxy S3 and Note 2 , they made Galaxy S3 mini, too. Right?
But why Galaxy S3 mini wasn't with the same specs like other two?
Is it just mistake? Well not to look paranoid, but I could say the no-high-end screen or the chip of S3 mini I could neglect. But to put only 5mp camera on it, is too much, to be just a mistake.
Only possible explanation for me, is that Samsung leave this size high end, for Apple. It can not be explained some other way.
Why? What is the deal? Ask them.
So, no petitions will help here.

No body is speaking about sound quality and reception quality. Also I need a very good camera. I do not want to carry another equipment along with a mobile this size. Loud sound with good music quality, Very fast browsing. Also I need something like s-pen to jot down notes. And very importantly, at-least two day battery backup.

4" mobiles are the best sizes. I guess you can make screen a bit bigger (+0.2",+0.3"), if maximize screen footprint to over 90%.
I'm a man, and I don't have a purse. I carry my phone HTC One S in my jeans pocket, and when I have to sit, i can clearly feel that it is too big.

AnonD-136250, 15 Apr 2013Don't you find it cumbersome having two devices that virtua... moreIts a matter of choice. For me, i prefer browsing, heavy gaming, and office writing on tablets. Even if the phone is a 5 incher, it still doesn't cut it for these jobs (imo). I need my phone to be convenient for everyday tasks and a tablet for "home" use. This combination makes me not need my PC except for special occasions. You cant possibly hope that a phone will make you do without the PC.

I gave up One X, S3, One X+ cuz they were too big and i hate big sized phone. A phone should be smart ! In the end i got so fed up that i bought a HTC Incredible S and an Iphone 5. Not everyone worries about the cores you know.

i think what really the point here is that it would be really great for a large group of people if they had more options in the mid price range . Options where the display size is the cost cutting part rather than the quad core cpu with same caliber gpu or ram or display resolution. For example take galaxy grand, in same price they couldve given us a 3.7 0r 4 inch screen with retina display, dual core krait cpu with adreno 320 and atleast 1.5gb ram. similarly in lower mid range 3.5,3.7 inch screens with min. qhd resolution and 1ghz dual core krait with adreno 305 or similar will do the job. and i bet some people will even prefer a 4, 4.2 inch android with display resolution and raw power equal that of s3 or an iphone 5...
in other words companies should target groups of people interested more in specific features of their phone, and then have different cost cutting solutions for particular phone. e.g those people who dont mind smaller display but want display ppi of iphone 5 or s3 and their high processors for multimedia purpose and excellent gaming abilities, why give them 5 inchers

those who want surfing and want bigger display irrespective of resolution( as long as ppi hovers around 200 to 220 ) they dont need to pay extra for 720p , 1080p and quad cores of s3,s4 ( the reason behind galaxy grand success)

as galaxy grand succeeded due to screen size and affordability, there will be people who will sacrifice screen size for display resolution (ppi above 300) and raw power. IN ALL CASES BATTERY SHOULD BE EFFICIENT.

There is no such thing as a compact high end Android smartphone. Android phones will soon be larger than ipads.

                      .
is phone already exists. It's called xiaomi mi2 and there is an updated version already on sale the mi2s. So far the only phone to beat the s4 in benchmarks and in a foot print close to the iPhone 5.

Xperia SP is closest to that. 4.5inch, dual-core 1.7Ghz Snapdragon, 720p, 1GB of ram(maybe the only issue there)...

Something like the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE would be awesome, I own an HTC One XL and the size is something that just doesn't cut it. It's a very nice thing on paper, oh yes. But on real life scenarios it's awkward to use, I mean like on the bus or walking the street. Of course I will sign the petition, and kudos to you guys for creating it

why cant samsung make exactly the same spec as galaxy s4 but in 4 or 4.3 inches.

If the problem with the lower size is heat, or requiring the extra space for battery or sensors or whatever, i'd happily compromise a few mm depth. No-one needs a phone as thin as some of those coming out as of late. No-one.

720p is adequate for 4.2 inch display. i hope it with snapdragon 800 (adreno 330).
