I think the sales of the Galaxy S3 shows that people are comfortable with big screen phones however more choice is always good. I'm signing the petition because I'm pro-choice lol

I'd rather have one big device like the Galaxy note 2. I personally think tablets are pointless. They don't do anything better than a smartphone and aren't as versatile as a laptop.

If U do this...any android manufacturer...i wud switch from my WP device, which I love and defend most...! U wud make sureshot switching of loyalties possible... Because im tired of waiting for an optimum Wp8 device, lumia 720...forever. It is TRUE...that time for a WP product to reach market takes ages when compared to android devices. I still hate the lagging problems of android against smoothness of windows in midrange devices to compare...but waiting, availability and pricing sadly weans away Nokia and windows lovers like us... Our hearts R bleeding...soon don't make us leave U...but sigh... we will b forced to do so...

The perfect size of the phone is the size of a iphone4, a little bit slimmer. In that body, a 4,2 inch screen, in a way that Motorola managed with razr i, with a resolution of 720p, with a powerfull processor and good video processor. And splash resistance, like razr i, and a good battery life (it's a nonsense a slimmest phone, too slimmer=non ergonomic in my oppinion).

I think Sony Ericsson's 2011 range of phones was amazing! From Xperia mini, xperia ray, xperia pro to xperia arc there was a phone for everyone. The xperia ray was always my favourite.
I wish Sony released this phone worldwide http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_sx_so_05d-4775.php

I would've got this phone if it released in my country but I got the Galaxy S3 instead. Thing is now I'm loving big screen phones and I can't go back. But still there should be more choice for everyone else.

                    Finally!

I am currently using a samsung galaxy s2 with a 4.3 inch screen which is just about the perfect size (for me) what I would like to see is a phone with a similar size screen to the s2 with minimal bezel, but with top of the range resolution, cpu etc. But with a more compact footprint to aid pocketability also could it be a bit thicker to allow for a much higher capacity battery? Thin phones are fine to look at but if you can't last a day of moderately heavy usage what's the point of buying a flagship phone?

Phablets or phone that have screen larger than 4.5" are stupid. I have a Nexus 4 but I do think that the screen is huge. I love the display and all, on't get me wrong, I like the multimedia contents presented by the 4.7" screen of my Nexus 4 but with it, I always thought I need bigger screen. When I think again, I don't actually want my phone to get any bigger, I just need a larger screen for my multimedia contents. Then pop! I bought an iPad mini and so far, it has been the best combination ever. So to everyone who wants bigger screen, get a tablet instead. Not a 10" one. 7"-8" (my iPad mini :P ) is the best size for portability! Hope the manufacturers listen to GSMArena! :D

Lets see. Not even Apple was able to fit a quad core of A15 class in a 4" device but you guys want quad A15 on 1500 battery to render web pages that a good dual core A9 could handle with easy for this resolution.

One S does not fit your requirements ?

I'd propose another quest, for a users like myself.
a phone, with screen of 4-6 inches, high ppi value for better reading, good battery and sturdy body, and the spec: mid range processor, and 2 GB of RAM.
I don;t play games, watch hd movies etc.. just make calls, listen to music, and read a lot, browse the network and write emails. So that would be a configuration that companies would be interested to equip their people with.

                            what do you think?

I like my S2 from all aspects and I chose it over the Note (in 2011) only because of its pocketable size.

But certain would like a phone of this size featuring a Quad core processor and at least HD (720P) display. I love my S2 but would be happier if it is improved.

the best device that suites the needs with only a little bit bigger screen is the google nexus 4.And I totaly support the idea of 720p screens with stronger hardware because in on screan benchmarks the nexus still beats even the galaxy S4.I think 1080p is way way overkill and a waist of money just a reason to justify the enormous price tags. The nexus with 16 gb and all taxes is just 400 US and i think it only has two big faults that is no micro sd and no usb otg support otherwise it is perfect.

GSMARENA you stole my words from my heart.for long time i just keep questioning why do we require devices of 6'' display which drains battery too early?manufacturer's just go on making their flagship devices no one care about midrange device.what they do when device gets outdated they start sellin them in mid range section.in india here not a single smartphone in range of 10-15k which is value for money.
