WalterC, 23 May 2023Exactly. It's so cut down compared to the previous 300... moreSeems like it all is caused by Nvidia trying to fool customers with the "4080 12gb"
Which should've actually been a 4070. But they couldn't get that owned. So they made the 4070 a 4070ti. Then the card which is actually a 4060ti (it has a 60 class dye). Was named a 4070. Now the 4060 seems to actually be 50 class card (has 50 class dye). The 4060ti has a 60 class dye though and that should then be the basic 4060.

So Nvidia is all over the place, cause they just couldn't back down anymore and every single card, Except the 4090 and 4080 are now 1 tier lower than they should be based on the name

It's so cut down compared to the previous 3000 equivalents and the performance is barely better to the point that in reviews, the 3060 Ti was able to match the 4060 Ti in a few tests. The entire 4000 generation other than the 4090 provides poor value, and AMDs 7000 is not that compelling either, with only improvements in rasterization but no improvements in price, features or power efficiency

People might think this is a good deal, but it comes with the worst generational improvements ever seen for a same series card.

That is because the 4060 is basically a 4050 badged as a 4060(it's actually even worse than that), so you are paying 299 for what should be a $150 card.

$299? Lets pretend anyone that will actually use it might get it at that price. Or just have a good laugh.

[deleted post]You seem like the type of dude to complain about the new graphics card prices being too high, buy them anyway and then go play roblox or smth

Remember when nvidia said that high gpu prices are here to stay? I guess the delusion is coming to an end finally.

Second, the percentage figures I provided in the article are for the CUDA core count, not performance.

The userbenchmark website says RTX 4070 TI is 113% better than the RTX 4060 TI, but the Gsmarena website says 52-57%, which is correct?
