      It's a trash cards for the mainstream, except you pay way more than before for the trash :) good luck using them for anything but 1080p and probably eventually will run out of those 8gb this year or next year. And good luck buying 16gb one for insane price while it will not be able to run any games at all anyway in 4k, because how week it is :D so pretty much useless anyway. Instead of providing 16gb where it matters like on 4070 and 4070 ti, you get 16gb where is makes no sense. Good job Ngridia.

              I have Rtx 3060 12gb and i was thinking upgrading to Rtx 4070 but too little too late, now i am waiting for Amd Rx 7800(xt) to get more power and enough vram so that it will last me 3-4 years before need to upgrade again.

              Why pay more for less vram and less performance when probably next month there is Amd Rx 7xxx series for everyone?

              I think Rtx 4070(ti) should have 16gb vram and 4060 ti only one model with 12gb vram(16gb vram is so useless for gpu that is about as powerful as rtx 3070(ti).

                got rtx 3050 before, faulty and trade it for rtx 3060, i wont touch any 128 bit card, especially in mid range card, performance will worse than 192 bit card

                rtx 3050 128 bit < rtx 2060 192 bit

                  vram bus speed is one of important factor in buying a card, 128 bit card usually in 50 level card, the raw rasterization upgrade will be very minor

                                Seems like nvidia forgot about the gtx 960 and how poorly it was received because it wasn't significantly better than the 760. Funny enough, thats another situation where they went from a 256-bit bus to a 128-bit bus. It crippled the 960 and it ended up performing the same in a lot of games compared to the 760, even though it had more compute performance. Looks like the 4060 is another attempt at the same approach

You're comparing a 70 series card from 2014 to a 60 series of today, situations are much different now from 2014. Nvidia wants pricing like it was during chip shortage that is why they are selling these cards at 1.5x the price, for $500 dollars you can go with amd and the card will outperform even the 4070. No point in buying this expensive junk.

So under 4070, there's no point to upgrade fro... moreIt's almost never worth it to upgrade each generation when it comes to tech (except when it comes to consoles) if you are a normal user. This is true for phones, cpus, gpus...unless the manufacturer adds a killer feature thanks to new tech, i suggest upgrading after 2 generations. Maybe more depending on your use case
