We can stop right there. It's just another example of american propaganda machine - lie, blame, defame. You are a newbie here with only 40 posts, but somehow you know everything I post about with over 1800 posts only since site engine update? No you don't.

regs, 23 May 2023Ah, typical american propaganda. Blame China outright in ev... moreI don't believe that for a second. All you do is post about China and own Chinese phones. If you aren't Chinese then you wish you were. Then there is your anti American sentiment. This is literally the pot calling the kettle black.
China buys American products and companies all the time. It does not happen the other way around and for good reason. America does not buy junk.
In any case you completely avoided the suicide statistics I mentioned. Your argument is just that it's not fair to ban the app in the US. Yes it is, it contributes absolutely nothing positive to society. The fact that you care more about that garbage existing in the West, and less about child safety is the real problem here. You can't argue your way out of that.

Carol, 22 May 2023Actually an app cannot be blamed for the impending idiocrac... moreYou can't block garbage uploads. It's godless material regardless of the platform as you said. Blaming people for uploading stupid things on an app designed to encourage stupidity is ridiculous. That's like blaming someone for cutting their finger by mistake when using a knife to cut food.
The app's intended purpose is brainwashing and pushing advertising and conditioning on children. It's not my fault if you and others are too dense to see that. I just find it amusing how quickly the Chi*nese users on this site flock here to defend Tiktok when they didn't make it, they just bought it and turned it into a weapon.
Schools and education in the US are still leagues ahead of anything in China. That's another topic altogether. Ultimately it does fall on the parents to better manage this kind of thing with their kids but your kids also have to go to school and make friends outside of the home. Unless you keep them locked at home and home-school them, they are going to come across this kind of degeneracy from Tiktok at some point. Best to ban it and all social media.

regs, 22 May 2023TikTok exist all around the world. But problems with kids ... moreLmao always great to hear some supreme hypocrisy from the Chinese. You guys buy up this garbage to push the CCP and destabilize other nations, but then point the finger at other countries for how they handle education. USA still has the smartest and richest people on earth and more entrepreneurs and the highest quality of living than basically anywhere else in the world except Switzerland. It's very easy for you to point the finger at other countries when you always attempt to buy anything that is successful and made somewhere else.
As for parenting and schooling that's a totally different topic. Schooling should be improved all over the world. Though schools in the US are still way ahead of schools in China.

NeverPayOver1000eur, 20 May 2023TikTok empowers people? What a joke. The app is freaking sl... moreActually an app cannot be blamed for the impending idiocracy. The content is, and garbage content can be uploaded pretty much on any platform.
The approach should be to
Block garbage uploads, no educational content means Warning for the content creator. Violent, or violence calling vidoes, should be deleted and user reported to police then bannd from the platform. Trends like burning, stuff, beating kids and so on, should be punished and the platform owner should be fined.
And this should be done on all platforms, not only on tik tok.
Tik tok should be forced to respect the suveranity of every country it is offering it's platform, otherwise should be taken to court.
This should alsobe applied to facebook, whatsapp and instagram and so one....

I could not care any less if TikTok gets banned worldwide. It would not be a loss for anyone as there are multiple platforms which offer the same experience already. Oh look! It's another narcissistic, self-absorbed, attention seeking, lonely person interacting with a camera for virtual likes. Yay! How exciting! 🙄
Here is an idea. Invest that time and energy into meeting and building with people in person.

When the USA can't compete, it bans.
I think the US was trying to ban Temu-Shop Like a Billionaire and Shien-Shopping Online apps too. Those are the highest Top Chart apps on Google Play store, maybe Top 3. A ban will come later for Aliexpress too. You'll see.
