...and that's the Huawei Mate X / Fold 1. But it was discontinued before release due to the trade-war. It's execution was not perfect, actually many problems, but the concept is better than the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
Having the outer surface be the screen means you only need one screen, not 2 or 3. And it means your Rear Camera also acts as your Selfie Camera. And it also means you can use it in Phone Mode, Tablet Mode, and Tent Mode.
By the way, on the outwards folding phones, just ditch plastic screen. You CAN actually use a foldable-glass instead since the bend is less acute. The flaw now is having the screen on the outside makes it fragile to cracking. Well, that's true for every other phone like the Samsung S23 Ultra: it's covered in Glass everywhere. I don't think there will be a solution for that soon, as I'm not aware of any Material Science that develops something to be hard AND shock-resistant AND transparent.

Victus is way costlier.
Anyway good screen protector does lot better job than GG victus.
And most phones have USB C now and will have since EU law will come to play.

Not good enough Samsung, been only minor chnage for the last 2.5 years ZF3, ZF4 & ZF5 with little changes only :((
I had given up waiting for 2.5 yrs for a wider front screen, bigger battery, better cameras and S-pen slot.
Pixel Fold now delivers 3 out of 4 and is good enough for me, with better cameras instead of S-pen, so pls take my money.
Thank you for ignoring many hungry power users like me that had been pleading for years, when price is not an issue for us.

2) no phone above $100 should be using GG3 in 2023. There is no excuse. Even brands that make less money than xiaomi with phones can pay for GG victus or later.
Xiaomi needs to stop with odm phones and microUSB. No phones after 2018 should use microusb.

As a Fold 4 owner, so far i don't feel the need to upgrade to Fold 5 unless Samsung gives an extreme deal like paying 200€ with trade-off

By the way in case of Xiaomi even on a low budged device with no gorila glass i can put a proper scratch resistant screen protector 9H 5D.
Please educate me which flip or fold apart Kyocera echo i can install 9H 5D screen protector and will no break my device???

I thught as much.
Even a low end xiaomi phone like Redmi 7A, 9A or 12C, Poco C40 etc have much more durable screen than any of the folds. Because its a glass not a ultra thin foil scratchable by nail.
Man i dont need GG Victus or Gorrila glass of any kind i honestly really dont care as long as i can use proper screen protector but since folding and flipping gimmicks does not come with a screen protector and will likely die whhen something like that is peeled from phone its nothing just a garbage costly gimmick not worth asking money not even on a 75% discount.
Thus to my honest words.
