Gree shuts down smartphone division

Declining smartphone sales in China seem to be the main culprit here.

Sad.

    However their smartphone brand Tosot was actually news to me as well.

      Anyway, it's always sad to see someone's dreams destroyed. It's been my case recently

        Never heard of Gree, or even Tosot.

              i didnt know they existed, probably down of the barrel market availability.

                Another one bites the dust.

                Not good for consumers.

                  There are promising Chinese phones, and the Chinese market is large compared to others, but a flood of brands popped out from just one region for the same market almost always means a bunch of them won't last long and have to exit eventually. Gree will only be one of them.
