Not sure about using it in Portrait, but using it in Landscape as a tablet makes a lot of sense. Glad to see LG's Rollable idea still lives on. If only LG was still in the smartphone market today and officially released the Rollable as a production model.

Since this isn't clear in the article, this is Samsung Display showing off concepts and prototypes, not Samsung Electronics. There is no guarantee that any of these will make it into consumer products, let alone Samsung branded products. I believe this is most likely the case for the folding OLEDs, but the new QD-OLED panels for TVs and monitors probably will hit the market soon.

12" in your pants. Sounds great lol.
But seriously, maybe it needs to be put on the belt like lightsaber?
You can also expect nxt lvl cameras with a thick body that needs no folding(but rolling).
Maybe some apsc and 20x will make appearance.
Folds are kust too boring, not to mention ordinary phones, changing very slightly.
It may take some years tho to the real product, no LG here anymore.

notafanboy, 23 May 2023I think LG OLED is superiorNot possible. Samsung's rollable and foldable display concepts are always world's first in innovation. LG is way behind.

Yet someone will come and ramble about how apple is the most innovative company on my Twitter timeline.
Haha.
