hmm, 25 May 2023Most in here who complain about the price wont ever buy one... moreof course they not gonna buy....This behavior is actually misery.. So they will blame the price or no card slot or no micro sd...Instead of find better job 🤣

hmm, 25 May 2023Most in here who complain about the price wont ever buy one... moreYou are not going to buy it either or you have the money for it, let whoever wants to give their opinion! It is very expensive for what Xiaomi offers, lousy support, bugs and others, apart from the fact that their devices are devalued very quickly... to pay that amount For a Xiaomi, I better fit it for a Samsung or an iPhone or the Sony, which is much better

          Still complain about their prices.

[deleted post]So instead of providing real 8K as advertised, some phones upscale from 4K which degrades quality. But it is fine to you.

Instead of keeping framerate user selects to record they drop 5, 10, 15, 30 frames. But is fine to you.

Lord, mental gym to defend chinese phones is way too overwhelming.

Xiaomi has decided to take Ultra, while already selling 13 Pro for €1400.

Most in here who complain about the price wont ever buy one of these anyways and even if these be on the price of Chinese have.

It's a niche market for camera enthusiasts and it seems there is market for them even with low software support over competition.

blue, 25 May 2023If this were the best camera phone... but it is not! What are the competition for phones that are built for specifically as camera phone and i dont mean phone with a camera that is S23 Ultra or Iphone 14 Pro Max
Huawei P60 or something be better for comparison ? Even tough Huawei have bad reputation cause of the USA fall out and no google service that you need to install for your self. What be the phone that is specifically made for as camera first ? I dont know as i am not a person who much care for cameras on a phone as for me my 5 years old redmi note 5 pro dual 12mp cam is enough to get some clicks to memorize a moment. My next phone will be Poco F5 when ever it be delivered probably start of a next month. It's cam be more then i ever need

Don't know what it is? But Chinese companies are on their way to exit western high end market if they continue with this prices.

Anonymous, 25 May 2023It's not just the US and Europe. China really has to ... moreChina has domestic market, they don't really care about other than India, in US they are no great and in EU it's about to get the same ...

I'm sad to even say it because there is less and less competition hence choice for user 😳

I don't think Xiaomi will but in the high end ? Perhaps, with these price ... They'll probably sell a few thousand ? I assume they did they math about their mark up / cost of sales 🤷‍♂️

At 1200 or 1250 it would have sold far, far better.
Even witout any charger/case/what so ever 😶

I was very interested in purchasing it or the Oppo or Vivo that has this sensor but hey, I'll wait another year so they can polish this 🤩

One Plus 11 in Europe is about €250 more than China.
Xiaomi is increasing prices by €500.

                              OnePlus 11 16/256GB for bit over €900. While xiaomi charges €1000 for Mi13 12/256GB.
Mi 13 Pro is €1399 12/256GB by Xiaomi Spain.

OnePlus 11 and Mi13 in China have similar price since launching.

Even Samsung started less and is still less for same spec or is actually 1150 Euro on regular promos.
And it is still yet to prove that Xiaomi is good at the long run?

[deleted post]Xiaomi would fail in USA for simple fact majority get phones through Verizon, T-mobile and AT&T. Phones they can pay $20-30/month if sign 2 years contract.
And it is nothing cheap to sustain this.

OnePlus and Sony sell unlocked devices, both have zero conditions to afford deals with carriers.

Anonymous, 25 May 2023This price has nothing with taxes, it is xiaomi greed. Nah. It can be a little greed but mostly is Europe and US combined that are trying to cut China, to see if they stop them from being an even bigger world power...

[deleted post]Iphones pro cost more to make than chinese phones. Cry an ocean if you want.

Chinese phones are full of domestic components that are cheaper and do not pay import taxes since all made in China. Also, majority of foreign components they have are all public portfolio. This means cheaper than exclusive. Guess why so many chinese phones have 6,7" screens and use those 50MP 1/1.56". Much cheaper to make 1000 screens of 6,7" than 500 of 6,4" and 500 of 6,8 for example.

Iphones are full of custom pieces. Look at android phones. All them that use ddr5/5x start with 8GB, only iphones have ddr5 of 6GB. The screen of iphone 14 costs more than those QHD 120Hz made by Boe, China Star that use E6 material.

Galaxy S Ultra, Xperia 1/Pro, iphone pros cost more than all other phones to make. Does not matter if other seem "better on paper".

Phone that costs $550-600 to be made is not sold at $900. Never.
                                        These are $350-400 at most..
