soldialga, 01 Jun 2023why would i go to unofficial sc if i have still warranty 🤦Because if you really went to official service center, you can ask for a new phone as replacement since Xiaomi already recognised the motherboard issue.
Btw, when did you go for the repair? The warranty for X3 Pro was 1 year before Xiaomi extended to 2 years warranty recently. I thought you went to 3rd party because you said your phone 1.5 years old and should be out of warranty already at the time.

The bootloop started after about 10 months of use. My MIL has always been loyal user of Samsung phones from feature flip phones to A51 over the decades but that experience just soured her opinion of the whole Samsung brand.

I dont think there are any brand that would repair a phone for free if some problem occurs especially 3-4 years after phones release.

The same for Poco users who didnt develop motherboard issue despite some commenters here trying to paint like every Poco phone going to have dead motherboard.
About my MIL's A51, the service center at first tried to blame drop damage but quickly retracted when we made a fuss for them to show us proof of drop damage. Then they said need time to assess the problem that caused bootloop. They got back to us after about 2 weeks saying the motherboard need replacement and warranty wont cover the costs.

About your problem: Any internal Issue during 1 year of use after buy = warranty = Free new unit.

AlexS, 29 May 2023One year of use should be under warranty.Samsung service centers will deny warranty claim for motherboard failure because Samsung never issued service bulletin acknowledging this issue. My mother in law's A51 got bootloop after software update and after inspection the service center said need to replace motherboard. The phone is still under warranty but they denied warranty because it is not an acknowledged issue. New motherboard cost almost the same as the phone price so in the end we just got a new phone for her.

Your situation is bad nevertheless note that the issue i had was widely common in Xiaomi/Poco M3 model, you can search in youtube an elsewhere for how to open the POCO M3 desolder and solder again pieces. It was an hardware project issue not a QA montage issue.

A fam... moreI had purchased Samsung M21 for my Dad. 1 year of use, just after the warranty ended, got a software update and the force started going into boot loops. Whenever it did start, it would restart after using it for 5 mins. Samsung service center said motherboard issue, new mother board was 80% of the price of the smartphone.
Same issues were observed in multiple Samsung phones having exynos mid range SOCs. But samsung never addressed it.
Samsung is not better than any other smartphone company out there. Services are mostly reserved for High end smartphones since they have the most profit margin
