Xiaomi 13 Ultra's EU price revealed by retailer listings

    OneUI still has a basic app drawer that cannot compete with the app drawer in MIUI. Even something as basic as the possibility for vertical scrolling didn't come to OneUI under the 4th version and you have to install and additional app by Samsung, for this and several other features - including a more advanced customization of the home screen etc. Oh and you still have to choose between the two, vertical or horizontally scrolling app drawer, you can't have both at the same time, as you can in the better MIUI.

    Funny how so many that doesn't use MIUI hate on it, yet since 2019, Google - and others - have started adoption features found in MIUI. . .

    Does ios on iphone have an app drawer like your typical android UI including MIUI? No.
    Does ios have themes like MIUI? No.
    Does ios really have any significant level of customization available like MIUI? No.

    Does the MIUI have the same over-animated child-like thing going on like ios? No.

    So they're not the same.

        In The Netherlands the total price paid for the phone must be presented clearly and up front in the contract. This is manifested in a law. All providers offer the consumer to pay the phone at once or only pay part of the total price and the rest in the 24 months contract; anyone is free to adjust these settings to taste. Every single one of those has 0% interest, no exeptions and with any provider.
        The price is often the very best price one possible can get. People GET CHECKED UP BY LAW at the start of any contract to see if you have debt problems. Debt problem? No phone. Not kidding.

        Now try all that again in US. Good luck with that in the land of the free.

        At the same time many people buy phones seperately from any contract in The Netherlands
        Last but not least contracts with a lot of data and minutes are not that expensive in the lowlands.

Of course there are limitations to running Chinese ROM outside of China. The European software is not the same, especially with regards to gapps and Google Play.

              Samsung's One UI is still not as good as the non-Chinese MIUI, though thankfully better than the horrible touchwiz of yesteryear.

              ios gets beaten by feature phones in features, for crying out loud. It shouldn't even classify as a smartphone OS with it's many limitations. Limited everything? Yes, please. That is ios.

                This price plus local VAT isn't worth it for a phone with diminishing vendor support with time.

                  Having had a multitude of Chinese made phones, I can honestly tell you that it's not worth the price and that software is significantly inferior to brands such as Samsung and Apple, and even Sony for that matter. On paper, these phones look amazing and their marketing is superb, but I still remember my disappointment handling the Oppo Find X6 Pro, and the last year's Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

                  They are just not that good. I would rather handle a midrange Xperia 10 than a flagship Chinese made device.

                      Sure, some people buy phones on contract here as well, but I don't know anyone that does that. Anecdotal, yes, I know. Either they buy in store, online or retail, or they get supplied from their jobs.

                      I chose not to accept from my job, as they offer Samsung Galaxy S-series and Iphones. No thanks.

                      I haven't gotten a phone on contract for the past 20 years. Most deals on contract can't compete against buying the phone yourself and getting the best data plan for yourself, in my conutry.

Europeans are opposite to that. Europe are much more well built unlike the us. We have much much less crime ratio compared to the us. We use public transports on daily basis unlike the us.

                            Some of the contracts seem affordable until you realise they have next to nothing data.

                            If your cycle means you are getting a phone say 8 months after the price can be great.
                            Finally I never pre order nor do I go for 36 month contract which one UK offers as standard, prior to that 24 months. ( Odd to compare one 24 month contract to a 36 month)
                            Finally Sim only contracts have really taken off, so yes a few can go purchase a phone attaching it to a sim only contract as it can be DIY contract.

                            In the main NEW is always in your face, preorders now like Apple iPhone have taken on a mythical role above a released item

                            Once I tried to get flagship year old phone on contract, I couldn't . They were equally good similar models but I had done my GSMARENA.COM research

                            Specs of these 2023 mid range say are superior to some say 5 year flagships

                            Just don't leave it too late, the price nay never go down.
                            Does any one believe that a soon to be released June 2023 phone will come down to compete price for price with the 13 Ultra?

Yeah previous one ui had some issues but not since one ui 5. But the thing is if it was bad still a looooot better than any Chinese wanna be ios ui. Just like rest of the world than their wanna be looking riches lol.

                                        Since oneui 5.1 Samsung is the best os among all android, best optimization softwares, best battery life for everything as seen in all reviewers tests, best fluid ui experience, even feels better than ios sometimes, best software supports, way better longevity and so on.

                                        But thanks for showing the knowledge level of Chinese bots. It was so necessary.
