I do also think that in the next several years, when flagships have periscope telephoto lenses with variable optical zoom, they should start utilising macro on these cameras. Currently, using ultrawide for macro shots creates bad results, though they're slightly better than a 5 MP dedicated macro lens. 2 MP macro lenses though are just useless, and you're right that they're just there to add cost for something that will never actually work. I can't believe it's 2023 and we've still got 2-5 MP lenses. At minimum any sensor should be 8 MP.

The second day he had it, he dropped it and the screen completely shattered. It had a case & screen protector on, both of which where completely unscathed after the drop. This was onto a wooden floor at about 3-4 feet, so not exactly an aggressive drop either.
