Old laptops have battery problems and if this is not the case they were slow and camera was really bad.

Hon... moreWhat is this argument ? Elderly people probably have laptops for video calls and would not use a smartphone for that. Especially in lockdowns when your at home and not in the wild where you have your phone and dont drag along a laptop that is heavy.
I dont think that elderly people have it common sense to use smartphones for video calls. thats more of a younger generations thing as people used Skype on laptops before phones had selfie cameras. Web cam era people who now are elderly people.

The Nokia 6 was praised as an iPhone killer at $250 (which it obviously wasn’t because it was mid range hardware). People got quickly disillusioned and since then, they have just been there not doing anything really. Well except shortly after, there was the Nokia 9 PureView, but the 5 camera system turned out to be a gimmick that didn’t make photos any better. That made the phone a failure. So there have not been any real flagship phones since then.

While you are right realme did better Nokia is avalable in much more countries. And this is USA market where theses Nokias were released and no Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi etc. is available in shops in US.
They have Apple, Samsung, maybe Sony, Motorola, Nokia and Blue and thats it probbably.
Never knew or heard that any or all chinese brands were available for sale in US.

Honestly a good example covid crisis when many countries and regions were under lockdown and you had no chance to see your parents, your childrens, brothethers, sisters, cousins, nephews, aunties etc.
Sometimes seeing someone is much more than just hearing him.

nokia keep making same mistakes, they should stick with 5000mah battery with entry level SoC from snapdragon and people will buy it. sadly they put old SoC from mediatek with small battery and expect buyers to buy it

Imo, Snapdragon 662 is not bad for a $140 phone. I am more concerned about only 3gb Ram available. Android 12 even in Go version will bottleneck often with such low Ram.

For browsing internet they prefer a laptop as a larger screen cause eyes are giving up on these small screens up to 7 inch
