In the meantime, you can download an app called Batt that does something similar.

Koishi Komeiji, 03 Jun 2023yuck, Android gets "backlash" again? I thought th... moreThere are 1000s of apps that shows battery health

Google is asding same feature to settings so that user dont have to download additional app

Speaking of battery health, when will Google bring Sony's power management system into the roots of Android OS? Particularly, the ability to completely run the phone externally via USB charging and leaving the battery completely unused if not needed, is something that I really wish every single smartphone has. Not only does it save the battery's health, but it even helps lessen the heat inside the phone, as the battery is neither being used nor charged, and therefore doesn't produce heat in the process.
Additionally, it would be great if there'd be an option to adjust the desired charging speed specifically by the user when one doesn't want to charge up their phone super quickly (i.e. overnight charging).

this minor feature requires a major version upgrade.

Is the Android implementation different then the iOS one?

These aren't always accurate. Had an iPhone SE1 and health was at 87%. Then my iPhone X had 82%. The SE1 was worse. The X got way worse after software updates. Got down to 78% within 2 months and it became nearly as bad as the SE1.

Then you can see the health stuck at 100% for like a year. Then it's down to 95% like a month later. Even battery meters aren't accurate. This feature only pushes you to buy another phone. I wouldn't completely trust what it says. Real life usage is what will tell you if you need to change the battery or not.

My modded Vita has a battery app and it's telling me 94% battery health. After 6 years? And I bought it second-hand. But it might not be far off because battery life seems to be the same to when I first got it. Sony makes awesome products. Didn't charge my DualShock 4 for 3.5 years. Still works flawlessly.

Mostly a feature should one want to sell a phone. Hey the battery got 95% health! Apart from that I can very well tell wether the battery is degrading or not. But I guess there’s the battery usage management that comes with that feature as well. If it brings any improvement in battery usage.

I did not know android doesn't have that natively. I've been using only huawei devices and they added battery health on a while ago. Surprised to hear it's an EMUI feature and not basic android feature.

yuck, Android gets "backlash" again? I thought they mocked iPhone for not having their feature? iOS really become their "first innovate" to implement battery health before Android?

there goes with footstep following ahead

                                Who needs that ?

My Mi A1 running perfect from day 1.
Still holding charge very well till 1%.
