In fact it is very easy for Nokia to be nr 1 again. Enough to make a smartphone with:
2gh octa core chip
4gb ram
64gb memory +64 expandable
5'' screen 450 ppi
no bezels
7mm thick
metal cover
water, dust, drop and extreme temperatures resistance
one week endurance battery
the pv camera
open source os
it's not too much, heh? ;)

today google glass is released and tomorrow there might be google brain wave were you dont even need a mobile the technology is moving so fast nokia should start making money through android now because tomorrow there might not even be a mobile

They will sell like Hot C... morey u insisting on Android, i challenge you here, take galaxy s3, install 100 apps including games, take iphone 5 do the same, take lumia 920, do the same then tell us which one wins. iphone 5 and lumia 920 will come neck to neck while galaxy s3 will feel like Galaxy s. android is not fully optimised operating system it needs a lot of core and ram power to run almost as smooth as windows phone or ios and still they start to lag very soon.
