Omg 1 software update and no ultrawide camera? I thought I was back in 2017. I feel really bad for consumers in the US, This is the type of midrangers they are forced to buy. In Europe and Asia this phone would be equivalent to e-waste

They'd probably just be buying a budget Samsung phone rather than some unknown (to them anyway) brand. Still the Snapdragon 695 has become so infamous that the people who want a mid-ranger to do emulation on won't buy this either, and those guys are one of OnePlus' biggest customers.

The biggest issue with the Snapdragon 695 isn't its performance and age, it's that it can't even shoot 1080p@60fps video. Seriously, this chip is a downgrade compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 690. The Snapdragon 690 could do 1080p@60fps and even 2160p@30fps. The Snapdragon 695 can't do 60fps with any resolution, it's so pathetically bad. Who cares if the thing has a 200 MP wide camera, when the video quality out of that is worse than any other mid-range chip? Qualcomm just castrated their last Snapdragon 6xx chip before releasing the inefficient and hot Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 built on Samsung 4nm LPE.
