You guys need to chill, this is no an idol war. If you guys think dxo is bias or taking bribe then prove it, give a clear evidence or data why this should be better than that. No need to butt hurt cause xiaomi 13 ultra didn't rank 1 on any site

The 1 inch hype is the problem here. Xiaomi didn't see this coming *it's needs more sacrifice than Xiaomi thought to get best out of it.

Maybe Xiaomi with overconfidence of 1" sensor didn't pay Leica's engineers well
Xiaomi : we don't have much to pay, just do your job Leica we have the best sensors already.
Leica : ok, but who is the boss here? 😂 time will tell

Marco M, 09 Jun 2023Once again, Xiaomi. You have the superior hardware in both ... moreIf Huawei could be benefitted from Leica cooperation and xiaomi can't, its xungming's fault, not Leica's.

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2023This Leica scam is eating all their margin so they need to ... moreLeica did a great job with Huawei. They were the architect of great camera experience on Huawei. Of xiaomi can't do it, it's xiaomi's fault.

This was really why i was interested in the Honor - the advertised super quick shutter. I take a lot of pictures of my daughter running around. On a sports even I had like 95% success rate on Xiaomi. The Honor was missing focus or going for a slow shutter many times.
Maybe we were on different SW versions...

As per my understanding Sony IMX 989 (1 inch) sensor can't beat its lower sensors.

Random Stranger, 10 Jun 2023i thought bigger sensor and lens are the key, im not a phot... moreNot always hardware will be counted, software tuning and processing after shooting will more affect the result, xiaomi camera software from first begin are tendency for over proccesing and the result are not satisfying
On the other hand, some Huawei and Apple are using custom chipset which they can balance between hardware and software, and don't forget they sold it above xiaomi, that means they are enginered for premium product and top level standard
Conclusion: software and hardware need to be balance for producing best image afterall, since this is not pocket camera, eventough the midrange and flagship are using same exact camera sensor, but the result will be vary depend on the phone class and software tuning
Still xiaomi flagship over best image than theirself midranger

mr.base, 10 Jun 2023And yet when I was comparing Honor Magic 5 Pro with Xiaomi ... moreI've also tried both and the Honor magic 5 pro has a much faster shutter speed than the Xiaomi 13 pro in standard mode. It also has an additional sports mode called falcon capture mode which will increase the shutter speed more. Xiaomi processes the photos quicker afterwards which is probably what you are referring to.You need to check the shutter speed in the exif data after taking the shots rather than looking at the after processing. For photos of moving subjects the Magic 5 pro is far better so dxomark is right om that one. Both are good camera phones but for shutter speed there is no doubt Honor magic 5 pro is ahead.

Caring about stuff like this is basically falling for marketing "awards"
My point is if you actually care that much about photography where you want an accurate color science you would already have an actual camera.
If not then its obvious you don't care that much, and if you don't care that much then why even pay attention to the article?
DxO has been known for years now to just be a marketing ploy used by camera manufacturers, whom have been laughed out of the market when they tried to release their own shoddy products. It seems now most of their brand has been focused on smartphone marketing now, which consumers being unaware that they are just a marketing company.

And yet when I was comparing Honor Magic 5 Pro with Xiaomi 13 Pro in real life, Xiaomi was better in many areas - better colors, more natural processing, faster AF and shutter speed, better skin colors/texture. The only thing better on the Honor was the portrait mode...

Cpt.Power, 10 Jun 2023Dear people honestly according to DOXmark Samsung S23 ultra... moreYou are not funny at all *is it WEEDs manifestation? .
Samsung are not perfect neither bad the way u call it, I agree Xiaomi tried on the cam setup but seriously they all are just smart phones and so software along side matters, this is the basic fact many prefer Samsung over whatever Xiaomi, then again get a Canon if extreme photography is the problem.
It has been *Karma since Sony and Lieca team up Xiaomi, the mi 11 ultra with Samsung sensor and Xiaomi job can tell that.

i thought bigger sensor and lens are the key, im not a photo guy so it's hard for me to tell but from the full review and huawei p60 pro comparison seems 13 ultra fall a bit short against it but then again 11 ultra which released at 2021 is a bit superior which baffled me. also is there another website other than DXO for comparison? i would like to check.
