Dear people honestly according to DOXmark Samsung S23 ultra with that hardware bug which makes green foggy scent on every photo is much better camera phone than Xiaomi 13 Ultra which had no issue apart the fact front cam is not 4K.
If you really after this well know truth believe a DOXmark is a reliable source please visit a doctor.

thefearfulsilence, 10 Jun 2023Any evidence for that statement? Like, actual material evidence? It's a bloody test 😄 you bought a bad phone so what

This isn't a surprise at all if you frequente photography forums.
Everyone already knew that Xiaomi's software was really subpar and wasting these cameras.
People are only interested to shoot raw or with GCAM mods.

              "Oversatured colours in outdoor condition".

A friend of mine who own a 12S Ultra through import also said the same thing when using Leica Vibrant. I asked him to change to Leica Authentic, and it's a much better photo than Vibrant. Remember, more colour ≠ better photo.

There is only the Xiaomi Surge S1, which isn't an ISP, it's an SOC that was used in the Xiaomi Mi 5c back in 2017.

So no, Xiaomi doesn't use their own in-house chipsets, because they stopped making any, years ago.

The Xiaomi Surge S1 however does exist, but it's not just an ISP, it's the whole SOC that powered the Xiaomi Mi 5c back in 2017.

This Leica scam is eating all their margin so they need to cut on quality elsewhere... BIG MISTAKE even by cutting down on quality they are still way out of place on the "ultra" segment. Like 500$ dollars offset its RIDICULOUS.💢😤
Commercials and investors are totally to blame on this bad move. You have to remember HUAWEI had the leica exclusivity and they were leading the market, so the xiaomi board had to buy them out. Hence the huge price increase and quality cuts, instead of passing it on their profits they are making you pay for it.
