      At the moment, the best selling Phones from Samsung are the A series. In 2021 it accounts for 58% of the sales. Note : A Series has SD Card Slot.

        Regarding of SD card topic, as for me, one of the reason I choose android instead of ios because of its expandable feature, included storage, which is SD card slot. So without it the phone is less attractive to me. One tiny sd card slot surely can't hurt that much so why remove it. Let it be an optional, people who don't want to use it, fine then don't buy an SD card and vice versa.

Maybe majority of people does not have problem with free space in smartphones and do not want to manipulate with some small micro SD card, because connect usb cable and transfer data is easier.
                  What I certainly know, in few years we will be probably saying bye bye also to SIM card, because of eSIM.

Also, it's jus using a tiny space, not "a LOT". It is not an outdated feature, it is an useful legacy feature that many people needs. And finally, what I store on my own phone and how much storage I need is non of your concern. Cloud music is of lower quality and unreliable compared to direct storage and it eats up data. Same with photo and how many mobile games I play is also none of your concern. An SD card slot is far more important than just about 99% of the other nonsense new gimmick features phone makers are adding into and using up far more space, out of which mostly are useless.

                          I would also expect external storage, but only in case small internal storage and those days are gone.

Extra SD cards are also smaller and easier to bring around than OTG drives. It's faster to just swap an SD than to copy a few GB of video into an OTG drive.

                                  Also, SD cards while slower than UFS, are far faster and more reliable than Cloud Storage. Unlike Internal Storage it will not die with the motherboard when the phone spoils, and phone brokers far more often than SD cards. Finally, SD cards are far cheaper.
                                  Also cloud storage is far more energy wasteful compared to SD slots.

                                    If i know I will be recording plenty of videos I will prepare enough free space in my phone, which is not problem for me, because I am not holding tons of GB of data in phone. And in extreme situation I would move the recorded data to OTG usb key or to notebook/PC.
