I thinking main camera should be double folded periscope camera with type 1inch sencor and later with more, with variable zoom, ois, ai ois, , with 50mpx-200mpx, and others cameras, not all, can be removed. Also remebering shrinking camera samsung galaxy zoom, its good manufactury just need make lit a bit thinner, its good manufacturing. Also can add on same camera that double folded periscope zoom lenses for more far optical zoom. Also need higer iso sensors then for darker areas. For faster dark photos like darker ares, sky stars, On cameras max iso is for now up 3 million iso. On cameras reached only 340 thousands iso with ryyb sensors for now.

I've never seen it being used to the intended purpose, as an extension to Sony cameras, both amateur or professional.
In fact, I've never seen it at all. Did they sell at least 1000 pieces?

It will be even more impressive IF Sony would be able to actually use the whole 1" ... unlike previous generation that cropped so heavily, you could not even call it 1".

I agree that they did limit the number of production for it, but if they are selling out at that price it's still a good thing for them.
They obviously don't plan on selling a high number of units anyways.

That'd save them time and money from developing an entirely new sensor.

1. Your region isn't the only region they sell it to, there are other regions like Hong Kong and Taiwan
2. They could've restocked it.

Let me guess: Two type 1 sensors, but only 60% of the total sensor area is utilised on each of them because the lenses don't cover the full image circle, making them effectively act like two type 1/1.3 sensors.

I'm a Sony Xperia fan, but not will buy their phone if comes with any 3rd party apps that cannot be completely uninstalled and minimum of 5 years OS upgrades and updates. There are competing with Google, Samsung, Apple and others that do a much better job of a clean ROM/OS and support...... hope they have learned from the competition if they want to keep selling phones !!
