Samsung please don't use your old Exynos 2200 in this phone.

Use snapdragon 8+ gen1 or make a new Exynos 3nm chipset and use that .

michaemia, 10 Jul 2023most probably but if it has a notch I won't bother eve... moreWell Apple cares more about their brand image than they do about delivering a good product which isnt anti-consumer. For them the notch is a part of their design language now and they will do everything in their power to put it everywhere until they find a new thing to slap onto things just to tell everyone looking that "oh look its the shiny new Apple X product" But given how it has been, they will probably recycle an old notched design and keep the price higher.

AnonD-986504, 15 Jun 2023Isnt apple coming out a new iPhone SE next year with the iP... moremost probably but if it has a notch I won't bother even pay attention to it.

you should have seen my face the moment they slapped a notch on the macbook. This guys have lost vision of what their design is about.

There seems to be some ambiguity and misinformation in the comment section regarding just how objectively bad Exynos 2200 is (as well as the Samsung manufactured Snapdragon 8 Gen 1).

The key factor in determining how good a processor is not peak performance, but efficiency (i.e.: how much performance generated for each Watt of power), and in this regard, Exynos 2200 and SD8G1 are both worse compare to Snapdragon 888 (a SOC notorious for being inefficient in itself). That means 2200 and SD8G1 both require more power to get the same performance compare to 888, and consequently run hotter and throttle easier.

You can check out the link below by selecting SD8G1 (similar efficiency to Exynos 2200) and compare them with 888, SD8+G1 & SD8G2 to see just how badly they compare.

          https://www.socpk.com/cpucurve/

Anecdotally, I owned a SD8G1 phone (again, very similar to Exynos 2200) for around 8 months, and let me tell you the experience is just straight up nasty -- heating issue, kills app the moment you jumped out of it, and battery drain is just ridiculous; it's worse than my old phone with 855 in overall experience.

I don't understand why Samsung choose to release a phone with this SOC in 2023.

MileOne1, 25 Jun 2023I own Exynos variant of galaxy s21FE and to my disappointme... moreExynos is trash. So is its 'cousin' the Tensor chip found on Pixel phones.

I would rather Samsung use a newer Mediatek Dimensity chip, if Samsung just wants to avoid paying the Qualcomm tax.

I own Exynos variant of galaxy s21FE and to my disappointment it isn't a very good chipset. Samsung should definitely drop the whole idea of Exynos oriented smartphones.

This is not fan edition this is just samsung edition. Why not just go with SD 7+gen 2 its equivalent to 8 gen. If samsung really think they want exynos in fan edition..they're wrong. Hope it fails if it comes with exynos.

I really hope to have Snapdragon Chipset (7+ Gen 2 or Snapdragon 782G)
Then an 50 MPX (triple) camera
And 4700 MaH battery paired with 1080p and 120hz

I have s21 FE which i love(true flagship killer when i bought it for 499) but this new s23 FE with old Snapdragon chipset or even worse Exynos chipset, i will gladly wait for s24 FE if Samsung would for that put newest and greatest Snapdagon soc from Qualcomm!

By the time it launches at broader marjet in Q4 2023 or Q1 2024, the price would have gone down by arlund 25% to 30% in the used market.
