Anonymous, 14 Jun 2023I am wondering why Samsung dont just launch the S23 FE in 2... moreThey do exactly as you say and rightfully so. They are not obliged to release new models at specific dates. They run business and adopt to the market

The Samsung FE Series are great phones, though after the prices start settling down. During rhe discount days they are great buys. They have very good cameras. Apparently the S20FE with the Snapdragon also has good battery life. Samsung should try and fix heating issues with the exynos chip. It's camera performance is nearly as good as Snapdragon.

George399, 14 Jun 2023What did you expected from this phone? A snapdragon 8 gen 2... moreSd 8+ gen1. I honestly don't remember the last time exynos had better performance than snapdragon

A phone with last year's Exynos chipset is nothing but garbage. Could've used 8+ gen 1, they didn't here.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2023Those better choices might not be cheap. Why not? Just slap a Dimensity 9200 and call it a day. It has just enough performance to meet almost everyone's needs (software optimization plays a huge role here though) and at the top of that, it has better thermal management, better efficiency, better battery life management and also probably cheaper than the Exynos 2200 if not the same price. So Samsung could've easily launched a superb product but alas, Samsung being Samsung, it is bound to make idiotic choices. No wonder Samsung is losing its ground in smartphone market. Once they start making better decisions, they will be back to rule the market but till then Sammy has to face the consequences of its wrong decisions.

When I heard S23 FE will be using exynos, I went ahead and bought Xiaomi 12T Pro (12/256) for $699.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2023It's like Samsung had to push back the release of S22 ... moreI am wondering why Samsung dont just launch the S23 FE in 2024 one month before S24 series, like what they did with S21 FE and S22 series. The launch dates for FE models are confusing, as if Samsung been thinking "Should we launch FE this year or should we not?"

potato4k, 14 Jun 2023In some countries, you don't have a choice.Even if they had a choice, most have no idea that Exynos sucks so they still end up buying it.

lol exynos, dead on arrival. Inefficient, poor thermals and lackluster performance considering that a lot of 8+Gen1 phones are getting cheaper now + release of new upper midrangers with 7+Gen2 SoC or high end Dimensity chips. Considering that Samsung's FE phones release at prices of at least 600-700USD at launch, you could literally buy a last gen flagship with something like an 8+Gen1, bigger batteries and equally competitive camera hardware.
