i predicted port-less phones two years ago in a comment i posted here on gsmarena. now there they are. next i predict abolishment of phones with computers moving into our brain. i bet in some years there will be another poll on whether it is a good idea or not.

so, if ports will be abolished, i would buy ten phones with ports to have enough for the coming generations in my family and survive data exploitation mass-indoctrination.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2023Apple is good at first creating problem then selling it... moreApple was the first to try it, true. But, it could have flopped. It didn't.
So, don't just blame Apple for it. Apple, like Google, like any other company, is a business. They try things from time to time.
Other companies followed, because they saw the profit potential. If it would have flopped, nobody else would have removed the headphone jack.
So, in a way, blame the consumers too. Actually, indirectly, the consumers dictate where the market is going. See iPhone Mini example for this. Apple tried it, not so many bought it, Apple cancel it.

How about a phone with just a screen. No camera cutouts. No speaker grills. No buttons. I think that will be endgame for manufacturers. I wonder how they'll innovate afterwards.

Are port-less phones the future? 8 don't think so. But it's a great money-making idea from Apple. Those that buy type C to 3. 5mm adapters to keep on using their 10-20 year old premium wired headphones will finally be forced to buy annually disposable premium Bluetooth earbuds or headsets, thus providing smartphone companies even more profit.

I was able to reach max. 25MB/s on 5GHz...which is still less than real USB 2.0 transfer speed.

Hope not! Less freedom for people, headphone jack are cheap so why not give it to us and let use them if someone want to ?! USB is the same cost allmost nothing. But later big tech companies make billions on us eg bt headphones poor quality 2-3 times more expensie then better quality with jack. Good BT ? Quite expensive and going to cost more and more. BT in phone, bt for headphones etc - you need still to charge more and more units.

It shows that you dont even know what your talking about. Even the xiaomi 13 and 13 pro still sold with their repective chargers. Your pretty stupid that even anything you write comes as false.

Phone makers said removing charger and cable will reduce carbon emissions but it actually made not much difference at all. Now, they are pushing portless devices because they can sell more related accessories and get more revenue from higher repair cost.

May it be the future someday? of course with many companies getting rid of ports and people falling for it as sheep cause it's marketed for the future like the apple vision vr
Doesn't make it smart unless these companies find a way to make the battery durable , have good Bluetooth quality mic which most suck and especially audio quality
