This is Z Fold 5.He was saying that being a foldable phone is not a good excuse for not putting s pen there while z fold is not thinner than n2 in folded form which is where people are annoyed from thickness. (n2: 14.6 and z fold 4: 14.2-15.8).

Also samsung owned the patent for foldable screens and started the fold era. Samsung is the main reason why other companies was able to create their "much better device" based on samsung prototype.
So without samsung they cannot innovate.

It’s another year and another no from me, I can’t stand that external ultra narrow display, they really should look to Huawei on how to make a killer foldable, I mean sure the Huawei fold X3 may have a few shortcomings but man it’s years ahead in design terms.

I WANT a thicker and heavier phone with more USABLE features such as an S pen, bigger battery, faster charging, better speakers, better cooling or better cameras. More space can allow a manufacturer to do all that. So why don't they do it? They could make a Z Fold and a Z Fold Ultra, one's gonna be 1200-1500 dollars and the latter is gonna be 1800 dollars like the current fold but instead the Ultra is bigger, thicker and just generally better. That's something they could do to appease the normies and actual enthusiasts. If you're bothered by the weight buy the flip

Having to carry a case for the pen is unacceptable for a "halo phone" tier product. If someone's paying 1800 dollars they need to get the value back, unfortunately that money is better spent on normal phones for now.
