You people out there that need a flash on the phone, need to understand that they cannot make a powerful enough flash for the phone to be usable, unless you are very close to the phone and you will not do to much movement in low light, and if that is the case , that cannot be a emergency.

I would guess most customers don't look at the unit in this way. For the few that are at different places in the world or want to pay for what i consider very expensive units this Quad band/Tri band is a must. There may be a small chance the sony/eric model coming out will run the quad/tri band set up. The second part of interest is the way this works. Does the unit have the hardware and the bands are activated by software??

skibadee, 11 Sep 2008pisses me off stupid people that say if you want a camera g... morewell let it piss u off bruh fact is i carry my digi cam with me for the simple fact that i love taken photos and dont need to depend on my phone for that feature i love having a cam on my phone but im not gonna rant about it not having a flash i have went this long without a flash i dont need it now because my digi cam that i paid good money for which is made just for taken good quality pics works just fine

if it had a flash and better video recording quality like vga 30fps i'd definatley get it. I don't expect a camera phone to have amazing quality like a seperate camera or video camera but i just want it to have a useable camera with reasonable quality. HTC's biggest weakness is the camera's they have on their phones are shit quality. it's dumb to have no flash and the video recording quality of the camera phones is useless everything is in slow motion it's totally unuseable.

That's what I think too.
The whole point of a camera on a phone is so you don't miss your camera for everyday shots.
My SE K800 had one of the best cameras out there at only 3.2 MP.
How hard is it to make at least that in something like this?
If they don't want it to be about the camera, make it 3 MP so people don't automatically focus on the fact that it makes no sense for a 5 MP camera to have no flash.
It is a flaw, deal with it.

wow... i liked the original diamond. shame no flash but if u want a camera phone now u can get a 8mp cam with flash and stuf. just 65k colors is a bit sad but thats probly got to do with OS and the resolution is very good.

GreedyRem shut you up bad, and it don cost five million dollors to add a flash, its just the simple things that can make differences in witch phone you buy and as you say it "data devices" whatever that means but i think your referring to the business phones....theres so many winmo phones out there that things like no flash could make you pick i900 over this, but this way sweeter!!!! no matter what happens iphone will always be a piece of trash

Pretty much all Win Mobile and S60 phones are better than that piece of junk and you should know that by now.

They put a 5 megapixel camera on the damn thing. What is the point of a 5 megapixel camera if you can't use it for anything but daylight close-up shots?
And since when did business minded individuals not need a good camera?
My old camera phones worked a charm whenever I went for site inspections and didn't want to lug around the giant company-provided camera.
