Spotify will add lossless streaming soon, but it might cost extra

Spotify's Premium plan is $10 right now, but the upcoming "HiFi" tier will be priced higher, according to a report by Bloomberg.

    Unless your earphone or speaker system can reproduce the quality of lossless audio, it's of no use. And afaik bluetooth devices are too much behind in this.

          So true, I have Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, Spotify, Amazon music, and you tube premium. Spotify is the most useless. Pandora is second most useless. Apple Music and Amazon are my top for the ecosystems. My daughter has her own Amazon music account so I synced her amazon playlist to my YouTube premium and use it in my car so I can use my own Amazon account in carplay.

            With some good IEMs or LDAC Bluetooth, hopefully this'll sound nice. I'll probably test it out and compare it to Tidal Hi-Fi+. 👍👍

                  its still pointless if its going through bluetooth's compressed aac anyway.

                        download physical file, run application to identify fake lossless file and there you have it FREE. i don’t want to be controlled by these streaming app and bluetooth does not make sense when listening lossless file unless both device has LDAC, UAT, aptX HD and LHDC support but limitations is still there, your devices must near the source to get the quality what you are expecting. second, you ditched the headphone jack for cancerous bluetooth when it fact all above problems are easily resolved by wired headphones even the cheapest one. huh! bluetooth wireless LOL.

                                    I'm so sorry but Youtube Premium is more worthy than Spotify ...

                                    Lot of music's can't find on it.
                                    You can't find good/favourite remixes.

                                    I'm sorry to say in my opinion is unworthy !

                                      Why pay $240 a year for inferior sound quality when I can be a pirate for free.
