Well it would be great to see a 4.0 - 4.5 inches smartphone with at least intel dual-core (it's hyperthreading is great! It's almost like a quad core processor) Or MTK quad-core and and battery at least 3000 mAh?

Good grief.
Really?
If any smartphone manufacturers even batted an eyelid at this I'd be surprised, mainly as they'd probably draw the immediate same conclusion as me, namely: "What about battery life?". I have an HTC One X at the moment and it's hopeless. The Xperia S before, hopeless, the Desire HD before, hopeless, the Hero before, better, just nudging 2 days.
Yes, the headline CPU/GPU, RAM, ROM hardware is ever shrinking in size, but as too is battery life as the electrical overheads go up.
How about petitioning for research into better battery tehnologies so we don't all end up with miniscule phones that offer 6 hours standby? For a moment I thought this was an arena for GSM related discussion and idea but I must be mistaken.

Pop, 22 Apr 2013We love our Sammy Note phone. We're looking forward to seei... moreTechnology changes, advances and gets smaller and more powerful.
Human size does not change much.
Good Phones improve technology per generation while maintaining the size.
Lousy Phones grew large and bloated.. meaning it cannot keep up with technology advancements and failed to reduce its form factor.
But in the end its all about choices, which brings us to this petition. Consumers should have the best regardless of big or small.

Brilliant, thank you. And here I thought I was alone in my state of misery.
I currently refuse to buy a new phone (which I urgently need) because I will not pay for or carry a device the size of a barn door in my pocket or jacket.

We love our Sammy Note phone. We're looking forward to seeing a Note IV and then grade up then. We had small and it really sucks, especially after using a Note. We see more and therefore we can do more . Why would we want to regress and go backwards in technology and abilities!
The Sammy's of da world can and need to bring both types of phones forward to the future. This way they can cover both ends of the market needs and it's a real no brainer. For once it's a true win-win!

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2013Just get yourself a 20 inch laptop instead. All the scre... moreI do have huge screen laptops for that purpose. I find my 21" HP dragon unit too small for the purpose even. If it carries the top of the line CPU and GPU, then we ought to enjoy it in its full glory. I believe the same goes to phones.

anything smaller than 4" is way too small for a smart phone. . 5" is the perfect size.

you do understand a smaller phone means more expesive componants due to being harder to manufacture. think of it like asking for a ps3 as small as a phone, would that be cheap? hell no.
firstly the technology has to be there to make it smaller, secondly it wont be cheap at all.

AnonD-73765, 22 Apr 2013Well, although 4K screens r utterly useless n redundant on ... more"Posting rules
English only" :).
For once, 1080p screens are justified for running 1080p videos(YouTube) or movies. 4K screens will not happen until there is 4K content. But I suspect the phone screen resolution will hit a barrier as the PC monitors resolution did. The advances will be made on weight, power and possibly on some isometric 2D/3D screens. Also some new ways of interfacing with the phone might be possible.

Motorola working on 'just right' size Android device, coming in the second half of 2013.
Motorola design head Jim Wicks said.
Additionally, future Motorola phones will run on an "the unadulterated version of Android," which should pretty much mean vanilla Android.
